Sam POV
I knew it was time to move on.
I didn’t care that Candy had been avoiding me the past few days. I was not even aware until the time the two cashiers were talking about it.
“She’s totally into Sam, you know.” One whispered to the other when they got inside the locker room. I took a quick break before the store would open in a few minutes. My shift had started about an hour ago, but I got to work earlier than my official time. It was rare for me to be on breaks, so Candy wasn’t really strict when I took breaks at unusual times.
They didn’t know I was there as I was seated at the back of the lockers where a few chairs were situated for employees to use for resting. I did not assume it was me they were talking about. There could be a lot of Sams around Hillswood. So, I sat there
