Louis's POV
I lost track of how many twists and turns the car took before finally pulling up at the castle.
Slowly, I helped Claire, who had fallen asleep from exhaustion, out of the car.
"Your Highness, you're back... Oh, Luke, Anna, come help His Highness," Alfred said.
"No, Alfred."
I shot Alfred a quick glance, declining his offer and signaling him to keep his voice down.
"No one but me touches my girl. That's something I hope everyone understands."
"Of course, Your Highness."
Unlike the others, Alfred didn't show fear of my reprimand. He simply nodded slightly and quickly caught up with my steps.
"I understand Claire's importance to you, Your Highness. I just hoped the staff could help bring in the things Claire purchased, nothing more."
