"I would have really liked to give you the job, but my cousin is visiting us and she will be helping with the work." The shop owner informs in a sympathetic voice.
I had hoped that he and his wife would give me a job even if it will only last for the few months his wife will be pregnant.
Seems today is not my lucky day either. I can't go back home without a new job or mother will send me away.
"But you can always give Lilian a hand around the shop. She struggles a lot with keeping records and rearranging things." His wife says.
"Yes, you can both work in the shop. I will be adding more stock soon so we will really need you." The man agrees.
