NATHAN'S POV
I don't know if I should call it a miracle or a mystery. I don't believe in miracles, not when we have angered Goddess Israel enough to curse us.
Father may not care much about the people dying outside the gates of his palace, but you could see his whole body tremble when my little brother woke up with a pale and dotted skin.
He is the kind of King whose lives of subjects don't mean much. But those of his family are worth everything.
His messengers were not allowed time to have their morning meal before being sent out to Aghan Kingdom to plead with the beautiful Princess Aria to take an urgent journey here.
The fear that little Henry may not be alive by the time she gets here was immense.
The disease has made her the most valuable female in all kingdoms. That means she isn't going to be agreeing to every request.
We would only be finding out if she agreed to come after a full week when the messengers return.
The disease is too deadly for a kid to survive that long. We however didn't have a choice but to do what we can for him as we wait.
Today was the third day since the messengers left. I checked on him this morning and was appalled by the way his condition had worsened.
He couldn't utter a full sentence without a cough. His eyeballs had also become abnormally white.
It's very rare for someone of my status to feel helpless. But I couldn't resist feeling incapacitated after seeing my little brother like that.
Father reacted by locking himself alone in his office. It is his greed for a larger empire that was about to cause the death of his little son and he was feeling the massive guilt.
I had imagined mother breaking down after seeing him. Surprisingly, she was the only one confident that Henry would be breathing by the time Princess Aria gets here.
But looking at the boy's face made my heart throb. He was too weak to live three more days.
I didn't think Goddess Israel would sympathise with a King's son when everyone else is dying out there without help.
Yet little Henry just walked out of his room suddenly looking very well. His once pale and dotted skin has a healthy glow.
It's like the disease had vanished, mysteriously.
He says he felt someone touch him before all the pain disappeared. But the person ran out of the room as he woke up and he didn't see their face.
I don't know a single person in this house that would possess the kind of magic that can heal that disease.
I have already asked almost everyone and learned that the only person that was working near the room was that piece of mess mother hired as servant just because the mother is her friend.
The girl isn't capable of properly dressing herself let alone healing a disease.
She is in fact the dumbest and clumsiest person I have ever met.
She does have a lovely pair of eyes, big and expressive. The rest of her is simply gross. I doubt she at all bothered to comb the large strands of her hair because it looked like it was only washed and left to be.
"Could it be possible that we have someone capable of saving us within our home?" Father asks, looking both amazed and thoughtful.
He finally joined us for dinner after spending a whole day in an office, morning a child that hadn't passed yet.
"I don't see how that fat mess would have healed my son. All she can do is clean a floor, even her mother made that clear." Mother replies.
She has little Henry seated on her lap as she helps him feed, very happy that he is now well.
The girl was indeed a mess. It would be impossible to know if she is fat or not when she is wearing a cloth that resembles a sack.
"Tell me, what do you think saved our son?" Father asks her.
"I think Princess Aria is powerful enough to have healed him despite the distance. She must have realized she won't be getting here early enough so she did her magic and he healed." Mother answers.
It's a logical explanation, but Henry said he felt a human hand touch him. Was that too from Aria's magic?
"I think the only way to know is wait for her to get here." Father says. "We need a good party to welcome her."
I am certain that Henry's sudden good health has nothing to do with Princess Aria. I wish there is way to know whose hand touched Henry when he healed.

HANNAH'S POV
"Can you believe how gorgeous he looked? I had an urge to link his lips!" Julian says and the two sisters laugh aloud.
I imagine they already met Prince Nathan and he is as good looking as people say he is.
What happened after I touched that sick boy keeps replaying in my head. My hands are still shaking.
"Those eyes of his made my heart throb when he gazed at me. They are so stunning!" Julian adds.
She is too excited to even eat her food. I imagine she now has a massive crush on a man she can't have.
"I thought he would be a stern jerk when I saw his black outfit. But he was surprisingly sweet and I loved his deep voice." Lina says after swallowing the food that was in her mouth.
Did she say 'black outfit'? That would be the man I bumped into!
I think I need a short break from this life. How can I have embarrassed myself in the worst way possible in front of the great Prince Nathan and on my first day of work? I must be cursed.
No wonder he looked pissed when I asked him who he is. He looked too refined to be a knight, because he was a Prince. At least I didn't yell back at him when he snapped at me. I would probably be spending a week in palace cells.
"He must be the hottest man in this whole Kingdom. If I were Princess Aria I would demand that he marry me before healing his brother." Julian says and Lina frowns at her inappropriate thinking.
"That would be like forcing him to love you and it would never work."
"You know he is going to want to marry her because she is the one that can heal the disease." Julian argues.
"Yes, but Princess Aria can't force him. He would treat her like trash if he married her against his will." Lina answers.
I can't believe they are going to argue over a man who wouldn't be interested in girls of low social status, like them and me.
I should have carried my food to my room. I would be lonely there but listening to them talk while they ignore my presence makes no difference.
The door swings open and the man of the house steps into the room. My stomach churns because I always have a feeling that though I am his daughter, he doesn't like me much.
He is always telling my sisters how much he adores them. I don't recall a day that he has ever spoken to me when he isn't either asking me to do something, go somewhere or quit doing something.
His tone is always sweet when he is addressing my sisters. It changes to stern and commanding when he is addressing me. I wonder if he cares about me at all.
He always arrives at this late hour because he and our neighbor runs a small pub at the centre of the market and their customers don't show up until it's evening.
At least he doesn't drink like many pub owners do.
"Hello Dad." Julian greets with a smile. She knows he loves her most and enjoys the attention.
"Hello my little Princess!" He bends to give her a peck of the cheek. He moves on to lightly hug Lina and give her a peck as well.
Then proceeds to take his seat, acting like I am not here. "How was your first day of work? I imagine working in the big palace is a lot more fun than being here." He says, to my sisters of course.
The two excitedly gives him the dazzling details of their delightful day. I think I am in the wrong place. No one needs me here.
I pick up my plate of food and make my way out of the room. "Goodnight everyone." I say but no one answers. I leave anyway.
