PERFECT MATCH
KILLIAN'S P.O.V.
Mother's sick, and needs a donor for liver transplant: "O" positive. I have the money to spend, being billionaire after all.
I can give you millions, spoil anyone with money, but the case is where the f**k am I going to get a donor, when no f*****g soul has that blood group.
I have been going everywhere, searching like a mad man, letting my ego go, but still no one has what am looking for. I swear I can kill to get that freaking blood group. Damnit!
I stab the knife on the table, only to realize the s**t I just did.
"OMG!, I am so sorry" I apologized as I instantly got a napkin from the cabinet and wrapped it around the maid's hand that was bleeding.
"It's fine, it's okay" She said as she twisted her face in pain. My heart ached for her, even though her sight disgusts me. I knew it must hurt like hell with so much pressure, still the blood keeps gushing out. The cut must be very deep.
I must take her to the hospital before she collapse. At this rate her blood is definitely going low.
I immediately lifted her into my arms, earning a gasp from her. I rushed to the garage, yelling the guard's name furiously.
"Dan, Dan, open the gate at the moment" I yelled as I opened the backseat and lifted the maid into it before closing the door and running to the driver's seat to get in.
I furiously drove out of my house towards the family's private hospital. I could hear the maid's low groans and felt my heart racing.
"Why couldn't I have been more careful?" I wondered as I got her out of the car. The napkin was already soaked with too much blood. Her uniform was stained also and the alarming thing was that she was shivering, and her eyes were barely opened.
I dashed into the hospital and the nurses on duty immediately rushed towards me with a bed and I placed the maid on it muttering an apology.
I felt really humiliated, a maid I barely gazed at, is now in a very bad condition because I could not control my feelings.
"I am sorry" I said lowly one more time, trying to retain my strictness to her. Few minutes later I sat outside her ward and the doctor Mr. Philip, our family Doctor came to me.
"What is going on Killian?" He asked worriedly.
"Who is that young girl you brought in? and how did she get so badly injured?" He inquired, feeding me with so many questions at once.
I take a deep breath, before looking back at him.
"It was me, uncle" I replied, watching him widen his eyes at me.
"You?" He called out in disbelief and I nodded.
"How?" He inquired again, and it made me feel more embarrassed, but still I speak up.
"The maid must have forgotten who I am.." I paused, trying to place my word together, in order of him not to misinterpret.
"It was a mistake, but still I don't think am the only one to blame" I sound cold, yet that didn't hinder me to keep on talking.
"She was the one trying to pack up the used plates in front of me even though she knows how her master can be.."
"I was frustrated so I grabbed the table knife beside me, stabbing the table hard" I explained more clearly. He gasped in shock placing his hand across his mouth.
"Unfortunately, it was her hand I stabbed " I added, but the guilt was still evident in my voice.
"Oh Poor girl, taking the full burnt of your frustration" He commented sadly, before suddenly hitting me hard on my shoulders.
"Didn't I warn you not to think too much about the incident?" He scolded.
"Now you have hurt the poor innocent lady" He added.
"How is she?" My lips parted and I blurted out.
"She is not in a critical condition, but she sure has lost a lot of blood " He responded.
"She is very weak, and on drip right now, but don't worry, she would be fine" He added, and made me breathe a sigh of relief.
I don't want to have feel the burden anymore. There are better things on my mind, but even though, I still want to make sure she was fine.
"Can I go in to see her?" I asked and he nodded before parting me on my right shoulder gently.
"Be careful next time, not everyone can handle your temper" He whispered out before leaving me alone and going into another ward.
Opening the door of her ward slightly, I take a deep breath, before stepping in.
My blue eyes wanders inside, and spot her lying helplessly on the hospital bed. I moved closer, and noticed she was sleeping, and her clothes had been changed into the hospital gown.
Her hand cleaned and bandaged, she looked so peaceful and innocent laying down on the bed. Even though I don't usually feel this shitty way, still my heart ached at the pain I put her through.
She was a maid working for me, but I had no idea what her name was, not to mention she looks like a poor lowlife, but am not bothered about that fact.
She rarely speak, and all I always do is bark orders at her, she obeys me everytime.
I return back from memory lane, and walk closer to her bed, before sitting on the chair in front of her
I shift my gaze to the side, and my eyes meets the drip attached to her hand. I couldn't help but notice the blood that had been infused into her.
"It can't be" I muttered and hurriedly got to my feet and moved closer to the blood bag to make sure I saw clearly and wasn't hallucinating because of stress, but it wasn't hallucination, nor a dream. My eyes widening, the solution to all my problems was looking at me right in my front.
****************************
I immediately dashed out of her ward towards the ward I saw Doctor Philip go into, but I saw no sign of him, just a patient surrounded by his family members.
They looked up and threw me an alarmed look due to the way I dashed into their room.
"My apologies, but please where is Doctor Philip?" I asked hurriedly.
"He left just now, probably in his office. Why don't you go and check?" The patient was kind enough to suggest, but I didn't have time to appreciate and chant praises to him
Dashing out of the patient's ward, I made my way to Doctor Philip's office, before bursting in, startling the poor man a bit
"What is it with you?" He asked with me with a frown, but I ignored the question and went straight to the point.
"She is O positive" I told him and he arched his right eyebrow at me in confusion.
"Who?" He asked.
"The girl I mistakenly injured" I told him and he mouthed an " oh".
"So?" He asked again, obviously not getting my point.
"She could be a perfect match" I told him, watching him gasp as he finally realized what I meant.
"Are you an insane boy?" I hear his voice again. His face looked worried, but that didn't turn me off, I would do anything to persuade him
"Doctor Philip, this is a matter of life and death, you have to check if she is a perfect match" I told him, but it sounded more like a command.
"Killian, this girl has just lost a lot of blood and is recuperating" He reminded me, giving me a "I am not up for this look", but still I wasn't ready to give up, and let this golden luck slip away so easily…Never!.
"Check her and confirm first, then we will decide on what to do next" I told him and he sighed defeated.
"Alright" He said getting up on his feet and putting on his white coat. Watching him, a slight grin creep up in my lips before I left his office.
….
I stood outside pacing worriedly around the hospital corridor, praying within me for the girl to be a perfect match.
I had no other alternative and was already running out of time.
"Damn, what's taking them so f*****g long?' I whispered, pressing my lips together. Anyone that passed me by, would clearly see that I was already losing my mind.
But just when am about to go completely insane, the door to her ward flew open and I instantly dashed towards him without giving Doctor Philip any space to move.
"Chill boy," He told me with a grin.
"Meet me in my office" He added and walked away with two nurses trailing behind him. Even though a whole Billionaire like me shouldn't be following a mere doctor's tail, yet I had no choice than to swallow my pride.
My legs taking the lead, I barged into his office, before shutting the door behind my back.
Our eyes met, and it felt like I was going to go insane again if he didn't speak up, but he did.
"SHE IS A PERFECT MATCH!". The words leaving his lips, it echoed right in my head.
