"Wow! Good luck to those who do not have compassion! Well, I know you’re looking forward to the wonderful performance that is going to be played by our actors from the Acting Department. Now, let’s welcome your dream girl Rosa Norris, and your dream boy Fowler Lewis, to present Romeo and Julia!" With this, the presenter quickly walked off the stage. Immediately afterward, the stage was blacked out. In the next second, a beam of light lit up in the center of the stage, and Rosa appeared. She was wearing a full-length white skirt that swept the ground, with hair trailed over her shoulder. She looked charming and graceful. The excitement subsided when she began to perform her monologue, her voice quiet and enchanting. Then the principal male character, Fowler Lewis, appeared on the left side of the stage. He was tall, handsome, and manly, and he was the only son of William Lewis, the chairman of Soniry Group. Girls in the school all admired him very much. He was someone who had it all. As other actors appeared, the play began. They were not professional performers, but the perfect coordination of the dancers and actors added a rhythmic charm to the play. All audiences were fascinated by their superb performance. “Oh, Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?” The story was very familiar to everyone. However, it was not a bad play, especially Rosa, who lived the part. Ryan sat expressionlessly, watching Rosa and Lewis, well, Romeo and Juliet on the stage looking at each other affectionately. He almost jumped out of his chair when the two expressed their mutual affection, holding hands together. What's wrong with me? How can I feel so uncomfortable watching another man hold Rosa’s hand? Is it because I like Rosa? Ryan, who had never been in a relationship before, finally discovered the true thoughts in his heart at this moment. He not only regarded Rosa as a friend but also liked her. At the end of the play, Romeo killed himself, and then Juliet killed herself too. After an hour-long performance, the actors played out the tragedy and the curtain came down. The audience got to their feet and a storm of applause burst out. "Rosa played well." "Yes, she’s beautiful and skillful." "She’s endowed with both wit and beauty." "Wow... Lewis is so handsome." "Of course, he’s my Prince Charming." "I also want to play the heroine." "Rosa, I love you!" Then the actors came back to the stage, and the leaders of the student union sitting in the first row commented on their performance. Finally, after some comments and encouragement, the play was successfully completed. Just when everyone was about to get up and leave the auditorium, the entire hall was blacked out. "Is it a power failure?" "f**k, what happened?" "Ah, don't touch me." "Who touched my girlfriend?" "Don't panic!" Just when everyone was filled with confusion, the hall was lit up again. On the stage, roses were spread all over the floor at this moment, and a large heart-shaped pattern appeared in front of Rosa. Rose petals were falling gradually from the ceiling. "Wow, it's so romantic! Is this a request for marriage?" "If that boy treats me like this, I will definitely marry him." "Come on, look at yourself in the mirror first. Who will marry you?" "Who planned that?" "If I have money, I can be so romantic too." Amid the discussion and applause, Lewis slowly walked to Rosa holding a bunch of roses. "Rosa, you know? From the first time I saw you, I was deeply attracted to you and fell in love with you. In the following days, I asked about your preferences everywhere. I want to get to know you, and I hope I can be the one who stays by your side all the time and care for you. It just so happens that today we are performing this play on the stage. I believe this is fate." "Rosa, I love you, be my girlfriend," Lewis said, handing Rosa the roses in his hand. When people in the audience heard these words and saw this scene, they applauded and hooted. "Promise him! Be together!" "Say yes!" "Kiss! Kiss!" "God, when will you have a romance for me." "f**k, is our school babe going to be with another man?" "Ryan, that guy is trying to steal your girlfriend!" Perry said anxiously. Ryan didn't reply. He stared at the two people on the stage blankly and then walked towards the stage in a final moment of decision. In fact, all of this was carefully planned by Lewis a week ago. From the script to the casting of the actors, the blackout, and the final atmosphere. Even the play assigned by teachers was arranged by him. He would do anything to achieve his aim, and he had the resources to do that. Looking at the roses handed over, Rosa turned crimson, quite embarrassed. She didn't expect Lewis to make it a stir. She was stunned into silence and inactivity and didn't know how to refuse. As if thinking of something, she looked down the stage anxiously. She hoped that the familiar figure could come to rescue her. In a second, the figure she expected appeared. Looking at the oncoming boy, Rosa smiled in relief. "Sorry, I have a boyfriend." She turned to Lewis and said apologetically. Lewis was stunned when he heard this. He had never been told that Rosa had a boyfriend or even a friend of the opposite s*x. How could she suddenly have a boyfriend from nowhere? "Rosa, stop kidding. Where is your boyfriend?" He didn’t believe her. Rosa walked quickly to Ryan's side, holding Ryan's arm, and replied with a smile, "He is my boyfriend." With that, she blinked at Ryan. Lewis finally noticed the third one on the stage. His gaze shifted from Rosa’s hands that on Ryan's arm to her happy face, and then to Ryan. The smile froze on Lewis’s face, a murderous light touching his eyes. He forced a smile, walking in front of Ryan. "Rosa, why not introduce this guy to me?" Lewis said to Rosa gloomily as he stared at Ryan. In his voice, Ryan could sense a certain tinge of hostility. As the only child in the family, Lewis could always get everything he wanted. If he couldn’t get what he wanted, he would ruin it. In his words, no one could take away his thing or his woman before him. He had planned to get Rosa for a long time. He thought it was a simple matter and no woman would refuse him, but he didn’t expect someone to spoil everything. "My boyfriend, Ryan Melton," Rosa said sweetly. After that, she was still dissatisfied, so she held Ryan’s arm, pulling him closer to her. Ryan felt his arm against her breast, blushing slightly. It was the first time he had been so close to a woman. He had an exciting feeling in the pit of his chest. As a man, he clearly sensed the hostility of the opposite man. If it were before, Ryan would not be willing to deal with this kind of person. After all, Lewis had a rich and powerful family behind him. But now, Ryan hugged Rosa and said with a perfect smile. "Hi, I’m Rosa’s boyfriend. Thank you for taking care of her in the Acting Department." As soon as these words came out from Ryan, the audience yelped in surprise. They didn’t believe that their dream girl, the school babe, Miss Norris, had already had a boyfriend, a nobody! The expression on Lewis’s face became even more distorted. He looked at Ryan and forgot his politeness. "Melton? All right. I don’t mean to look down on you, but to be frank, do you think you can give Rosa happiness? Are you worthy of Rosa?" He demanded rudely. As soon as he said this, the onlookers gasped and stopped talking. The atmosphere became very embarrassing. "I will give her the best care and make her the happiest woman in the world. As for whether I’m worthy of her or not, I won't say it now. Anyway, it’s impossible for her to like you!” Ryan deliberately raised his voice when he said it was impossible for Rosa to like Lewis so that everyone in the auditorium could hear him. "Good. You’ll see." Lewis was choking with anger. He kept his temper, staring at Ryan with a stony air. Ryan ignored him. With a smile of triumph on his face, he walked out of the auditorium with Rosa in his arms. Lewis squinted at their back as they left. No one knew what he was thinking. "Lewis, there are so many beautiful girls in our school, why don't you find another one?" "That's right. As for that guy, we have to teach him a lesson!" "If it wasn't for that guy, you..." Before the student next to Lewis finished speaking, Lewis glared sharply, "Get out!" The guy quickly lowered his head and stepped back.
