“Dundee Police!” Watters said, pushing aside the blade with his cane. “Stand back, gentlemen!” He glared into the eyes of the nearest man. “Get out, bluebottle!” the man snarled, balancing himself for a lunge. “Easy, lads,” MacPhee appeared behind Watters. “I think you’d better be leaving us, Sergeant Watters. We don’t want any trouble, do we?” Faced with three determined tinkers and MacPhee at his back, Watters decided it best to withdraw. “No, we don’t,” he said.
