Sophia     I was free, actually free. More than half of me had expected Dimitri to whisk me away in the middle of the night, regardless of the men Alice had posted on my door. I barely slept a wink, but no one came. Dimitri was as good as his word and left me alone. Which just cemented in my head what I had always known. He didn’t love me. He didn’t even like me very much. I was nothing to him but a warm hole and young womb to grow his child. It shouldn’t have hurt but it did. I should have been happy to be free but that was short lived a well.
