A closer read of Tima’s message about the new missing crewmember alert had Sue detouring them all away from her command center and back toward the protein pods after all.
“You’re sure?” Evans said, trying to keep his voice too low for Liam to hear. “The missing woman was going to the same place McHugh was?”
Sue nodded, smiling when Liam glanced back at them.
“Last time she checked in with her partner, that’s where she was headed. Restock on protein. The meat kind.”
“And we still can’t check video.”
“Nope. Not until Earth HQ says I can roll back that update and get us onto a reliable systems suite. Nothing new has gone orange for what, an hour now? We should be able to roll back the second I get the all clear in a few hours.”
