Crystal Raine Meadows
The classes took faster than I expected, I was hoping that it would be longer because, after knowledge classes, I would be going to the special training room to train with him.
I could feel my heart racing as I remembered what happened yesterday, my cheeks are heating up because of my thoughts.
"S-Snap out of it," I whispered to myself while lightly slapping my cheeks, but it's not helping me to calm down.
"Are you crazy?" I heard someone talking, but I didn't mind it while I continued to calm myself down.
"Woman, I'm talking to you," I flinched after hearing that cold voice, "You should finish warming up before I arrive," he informed me from behind, so I just nodded while pretending to fix the things that I already have fixed.
"Y-Yeah sure, I'll be warming up, see you later," I excused myself and left our room immediately.
I gasped when someone wrapped their arms around my shoulders, "Okay, what was that about? Why are you avoiding that guy?" Jenny immediately asked, so I sighed in relief while gripping my books in my hands.
"N-Nothing? I just feel embarrassed about all the things he does to me," I didn't lie, it was also part of why I'm doing this.
She stopped for a moment while looking at me intently, "I see, you don't have to, you didn't ask him to do that for you," Jenny reassured me.
"You should thank him though and that's that," she sounded like she doesn't want me to get closer to Calyx, but at least, she's suggesting that I thank him.
"Oh, by the way, we're going out this weekend, do you want to join me and Rowen? I heard from Liam that he has invited you out but you were so busy about a lot of things and that didn't happen," she informed, so my eyes widened.
I almost forgot about going out with Liam! He must be so disappointed for waiting this long! He asked me out and how many weeks have passed already? Ahh! I'm such a horrible person! I have to make it up to him!
"R-Right, I-I forgot about that, s-sure I'll make time for this weekend," I informed her, so she beamed at me while hugging me from the side.
"What do you think about Liam, Crys?" she asked a weird question, so I thought about it for a moment before looking at her.
"Hm, he's a nice friend and good-looking, he must have a fan club around here," I claimed, so she just chuckled.
"I'm glad you see him like that, he's a nice guy, I think you two might be a great pair," she sounded so serious for a moment that I didn't hear what she whispered.
"W-What did you say? Sorry, I didn't quite hear it," she flinched at what I asked and just smiled at me.
"Nothing! Let's just eat lunch and proceed to our training!" she cheered before dragging on the cafeteria, which made me chuckle.
After eating lunch with my friends, the moment of truth has arrived and I have to get changed and warm up in our special training room.
I arrived there and was astounded upon seeing David Ronin over there leaning on the doors of the special training room.
"Hey, I'm surprised to see you here," I greeted David, who immediately stood up casually and smiled at me.
If I was one of their fans, they would literally die here because of how beautiful this man smiles, "Hey, you're finally here," he beamed before fishing out something from his pocket.
He took out a key and handed it over to me, "Here, what happened to you made Calyx do us a lot of things, he wanted to make sure that you and he had the only key here in this place," he informed.
"But since he was going to be late, he asked me to give you this while making sure no one was getting in," he explained, so my eyes widened.
"W-Why would he do that?" that's the only thing that I have said after gathering all that he has explained in my mind.
David Ronin shrugged his shoulders before patting my head, "I don't know either, maybe he just cares for you," he smiled mysteriously before grabbing my hand and handing that key over there.
"Calyx was never like this ever since he started recovering, aside from his sister, he didn't care about anyone else up until now," he talked mysteriously to me before bidding me goodbye.
"Make sure to lock the doors! Calyx would kill me if I didn't remind you to tell you that," he shouted from afar while I was staring at the key intently.
I slowly gripped it before deciding to enter the special training room and locked it, "Him doing these kinds of things would make me assume things that I'm not sure about," I mumbled before shaking my head as I decided to get changed.
I was too nervous to come back and change into the toilet, so I have just decided to change outside since it was locked.
After changing, I decided to warm up and waited for him to arrive. I kept on pacing back and forth for what I'm going to say to him once he arrives.
I've never been this nervous in my entire life, I-I just can't stop thinking about what he did to me last night!
Y-You wouldn't kiss someone unless you feel something right? I could feel my cheeks heat up because of what I've just thought about.
My thoughts almost ate me that I didn't notice that the door was opened, my nose inhaled that familiar scent, and almost gasped after seeing that someone is fixing their things in my peripheral view.
"G-Gah! You're here!" I exclaimed, so Calyx stopped fixing his things before glaring at me. He looks like he's mad about something.
"Yes, I've been here while your face is heating up like a tomato and staring at a space where I thought you were someone that lost their soul," he coldly stated, so I just sighed while scratching the back of my head.
"S-Sorry about that, It's just something that's weighing on my mind," I informed him and I didn't realize that I was talking to him casually.
"You have to start training your senses too, do your workout routines then we'll start doing another one," he ordered, so I stopped for a moment when I realized that what happened last night seems to be not affecting him.
He's just acting normal right now and I don't know why I feel so bad about it, something inside me is hurting because of what's happening right now.
"Woman, didn't you hear what I just said?" he sounded like he was getting pissed, so I flinched and just nodded at him.
"Y-Yeah I heard you, excuse me," I left his side and started doing my routines, I wasn't in the mood doing all of those things.
I got worked up for nothing, maybe that kiss really meant nothing to him. I just sighed and focused on making myself stronger. In this way, I wouldn't need someone to protect me because I'll be taking care of myself.
The rest of the training felt like bliss because my thoughts were up in the clouds. Calyx noticed that for sure, but he didn't ask about it.
He looks like he doesn't have any time to talk to me about what just happened, so why is he doing things like that key and those talks for me? What does it mean?
Is he a caring friend? Friends won't step over like that and kiss someone that passionately, I-I deserve to have an explanation. I-I just don't know how to approach.
I'm a terrible conversation starter, I stutter a lot when I get nervous and I want to be confident when talking to him.
I don't want him to think that I'm thinking about those kinds of things about us two, I-I just want some answers that I need to have for me to stop overthinking like this. I deserve an explanation, right?
"Woman, you've been spacing out since we started, are you really even serious about taking this training?" he coldly asked, so I heaved a deep long sigh before looking at him intently.
"Hey, can we talk? A-About what happened last night," I politely asked, so he stopped before looking at me intently as he shook his head.
"We're training right now, conversations like that are unnecessary," he firmly stated, so I just bit my lower lip before nodding.
"Fine," I replied before deciding to focus more on the training, the rest of the training went quietly until it was finished.
We didn't talk until I had finished changing and fixing up my things, I changed on the corner where he couldn't see me of course.
I bit my lip when I realized that maybe he's trying to avoid this kind of conversation. I gripped my hands because I badly wanted some answers, but I can't just force him to answer me.
F-Forget it, I guess? Maybe that first kiss isn't a big deal or that man is just really crazy to kiss me like that. Should I file a harassment file? No, I liked what happened.
I just sighed and threaded my bag lightly on my right shoulders, I paced towards the main door and saw that Calyx was there leaning on the walls casually with his hands on his pockets like he was waiting for someone.
Staring at him from afar makes my heart pound so rapidly because he just looks so very attractive. How can a man be beautiful like this?
I just shook my head and decided to tell him I'm not coming this weekend, I'm going out with my friends.
He stood up straight before looking at me from below. Calyx has a very impressive height, he can tower over me like some tree.
"Are you done, woman?" he coldly asked, so I tilted my head at him. Come to think of it, he never once mentioned my name yet.
I wonder what the reason is? I just shook my head and looked at him intently, "Y-Yes, I am done and you shouldn't have waited," I mumbled, so he just stared at me.
"You're a woman who always attracts trouble, I don't want to leave this place because it might be tainted by your disease," he claimed, so I almost scoffed because of his statement.
No one can beat him for being this rude and here I thought he really did care about me, he's just so difficult to understand!
"Wow," that was all that I could say while gripping my bag, "I'll be leaving now and for your information, I'm not attending our training this weekend," I was about to walk away from the door when he reached out towards my wrist.
"Why?" he coldly asked while looking at me intently. I tried to get away from his hold, but he was just too strong.
"I-I have something I needed to do, one day wouldn't hurt," I argued and successfully took my wrists away from him.
"One day would make a huge difference on training either," he casually replied, but I just shook my head and glared at him.
"I don't care, I'll not attend the training this weekend and my decision is final, go ahead and train by yourself," I gritted my teeth.
I don't know why I'm so furious, maybe the fact that he doesn't want to talk about what happened last night is eating me up.
The lids of my eyes closed as I heaved a deep long breath, "I'm sorry, but I really just have to go that day, I promised for so long," I explained and turned my back on him as I left.
A pang in my heart was to be felt when I'm walking away from him, it's just so weird for me to have feelings like this.
Calyx was a rude man from the very start, but he was different when I first met him. Yes, he was acting cold, but not cold enough to dance around the Crystal Cove.
He even caressed my legs that time like it was the most fragile thing that he has ever touched. I could not forget that moment, it felt like something inside of me was awakened and was ready to be fully bloomed like the colorful flowers of spring.
I didn't realize that I had arrived at the main gates while walking with my head up in the clouds. I flinched when someone tapped my shoulders, which surprised me for a moment.
My eyes peered on the side and saw Liam, "O-Oh hey, Liam," I smiled before looking at his side, Jenny and Rowen were about to leave.
"Hey, you two! Goodbye! See you tomorrow!" I yelled, so they looked at me and smiled while waving their hands.
"Looks like you're finally better now, I'll see you on the weekend then?" he beamed, so I gave him a small smile before nodding.
"Sorry for making you wait this long," I bit my lower lip because I really felt guilty about it, but he just shook his head at me.
"No worries, I can't wait till the weekend, it's one day away!" he cheered and waved me goodbye, so I just chuckled and saw Flash waiting for me in the middle.
It was a very long emotional day and it's time for me to go home.
To be continued...
