HININTAY ko ang tawag n'ya. At hindi ako nagkamali -- around noon, her phone rang. Excited ko 'yong sinagot.
"Hey," bati ko sa kanya.
"Hey. Listen, I left my phone and I was wondering if I can drop by and pick it up. I'll just meet you at the lobby?"
Tumaas ang isang kilay ko. Ayaw n'yang pumanhik?
"Where are you?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"I am currently at the hotel."
"Hotel? Why?"
Wala ba s'yang bahay dito at kailangan pa n'yang mag-hotel? Or maybe I was right, she's here for a vacation. Narinig ko ang mahina n'yang mura. Ang kulit ko rin daw at hindi ko naiwasang mapangiti.
"I'm on a convention."
