CH: 6

Jay pov

Two days have passed since that incident. Maya and the pups were safe. I was worried about both of them. I told Maya to have a rest in the house, not letting her go to her company. So she handled the company from home. She was so passionate about her Magazine company. Her father, King Solomon, opened this company here. He was handling another company.

Now that our life is back on track, I come to my studios for my work. But I need to close my studio for a few days.

Everything was going smoothly when Maya visited me this morning. She looked worried.

Flashback

"Hony, did you have time?" Maya asked as soon as she entered my studio.

"I have my whole time free for you and our pups. Come sit. Tell me what you want to eat?" I put my lamp on her to sit on.

"I don't want anything…" She said as she sat on my lamps.

"Babe, you will starve my pups if you do not eat properly." I catch her chin and make her look up at me.

"I'm not starving our baby. I'm eating properly. Don't worry." Maya said, smiling sweetly.

"Ok, if you say so. Now tell me, what did you want?" I asked not to push her.

"I made a mistake…" She said, looking down at her fingers.

"Mistakes?" I narrowed my eyes at her. It's rare for her to make mistakes.

"Yeah, I made a huge mistake. I put someone on death's path." Maya bit her bottom lips as she confessed.

"Death path? Did you use venom on humans again? Did that person die?" I asked in a worried tone.

Maya is not a girl who uses venom easily on anyone. She knows how dangerous her venom could be. She is a sweet and innocent girl who only knows how to live cheerfully. She didn't fight earlier. So it's really surprising that she actually attacked someone.

"Not yet. But if I guess right, she will die soon." Maya said, thinking something.

"She? Is it a woman? What does she do that makes you angry?" I asked curiously.

"She claims what is mine," Maya said in a serious tone.

"Huh?" I look at her surprised face.

Maya put her hand on my chest and looked up at me with the most innocent eyes. I sigh and give her a pick on the lips. She is really stressed.

"Who is she?" I asked.

Maya bit her bottom lips as he tried to say.

"Maya… If you don't tell who she is, how can I save her?" I asked gently. I want her to speak to me.

"First, promise me that you will never get angry at me or leave me. I did this to save our baby. She is one of the first to attack me. So to save our baby, I bit her on the shoulder." Maya said in an emotional voice. I see tears in her eyes.

"Maya, you say to save our pups. You bit her, right?" I held her face in my chest as I asked.

"Hmmm…" Maya nods her head.

"Then it's not your fault what she is suffering for," I said to make her easy.

"But still, she didn't deserve to die. Honey, you have to save her at all costs." Maya suddenly looked up at me with hopeful eyes. She was asking me to save that woman.

"Fine. As your wish. Now tell me who she is and how can I cure her?" I said.

"My venom was dangerous to other people. But it turns into an antidote when the wolf's blood mixes it in. My venom is cold like ice. If anyone used it without wolf blood, that person would die in a second. Wolf's blood is warm to help kill the venom's killing effect. That's why I come to you. You have saved her." Maya told me in a serious tone.

"For you… I will give you as much blood as you want." I said with a smile.

"Honey…. The woman I'm talking about is… Your ex-mate." Maya told me awkwardly.

Her words make me freeze. Did I hear right? Maya talking about Emily? Does Emily get bit by Maya? And now she is dying?

"Honey, please don't hesitate to slap me. But don't leave me. I did it to save our baby. Trust me… I didn't do it on purpose." Maya grabbed my face and said desperately.

I look down at her eyes. Her eyes are full of tears, but still, I see that she is not lying.

"Honey… You trust me… Right?" She began to panic.

"Of course, Maya. I trust you. Don't panic." I hold her in my arms and kiss her forehead.

"You never leave me, right?" Maya asked in a crying voice.

"Maya, I told you many times I'll never leave you no matter what happens between us. If we fight and get angry, we will still stay together. So don't get worried. Don't you trust me?" I asked with a serious tone. I don't like when she feels insecure about me.

"I do. But I still feel scared that one day you will leave me for the sake of your mate." She was shaking in my arms.

"Ex-mate, Maya. They are my past, And you know that I chose you. I marked you as my chosen mate. So you are more important to me. And now our pups are also coming soon. So don't get stressed out because of insecurity." I said, tubing her back in a circle.

Maya keeps quiet as she rubs her head on my chest. She always does this when she is stressed.

"You have to go. Honey, go find her and save her." Maya said all of a sudden and got up from my lamp.

"I don't need to go there. I'll send someone to her pack." I said calmly.

'I want to see our mate. She is in danger, and you want just to send her an antidote? Jay, to be so cruel to her.' Alex shouted in my mind all of a sudden.

'I'm not cruel to her. I just don't want to do anything to them. You know what happens if I go there.' I argue back.

'I don't care! I want to see my mate. I want to save her…' Alex became aggressive.

I cut our mind link. I'm not in the mood to argue with him. He tried to reach me. But I blocked him.

"No! Honey, we can't just give them antidotes like this. There is a seven-day procedure. You have to give her antidote and warmth. I don't trust them. What if they made mistakes."

"So…You want me to go there?" I asked in a worried tone.

"Yes, only you can do this. I'll give you an antidote and details about the procedure. So what did you say? Can you do this?" Maye asked using puppy eyes.

"You know what happens if I go there. What if…" I said helplessly.

"I know what you are talking about… But I trust you." Maya put a palm on my mouth and said with a gentle smile.

She trusts me!

And I'll never break her trust!

'Say yes to her. And we can find out about our mate bond and why it is not broken.' Alex agreed with Maya.

'Fine. I'll go." I said helplessly.

'Yes, thank you, honey." She jumps in excitedly.

"You are saving your rivals. Do you know this, right?" I tease her.

"I know… BUT I'm against those who killed innocent people. And I know how to take what is mine." Maya said with a smile.

"My smarter wife. Now go home and have some rest."

"When are you leaving?"

"I need to complete my work. Maybe this evening I will leave. How much time does she have?" I said, pointing to a bunch of work on my table.

"Two days more days. Because she had Alpha blood." Maya said, picking up her bag.

"Ok." I node in understanding.

After hearing Maya's words, I couldn't be able to concentrate on my work anymore. Alex is winning in my head desperately. So I just closed my work and closed my studio. I called Maya, but she was not picking up my phone. Maybe she is sleeping.

I stop the car in front of Kingdom Place and throw the key to my man to park my car. As I walk into the living room, I see my father-in-law sitting on the sofa. He looked angry and worried at the same time.

"Father…" I greet him.

"Right on time, Jay. Maya is missing…" the king said in a serious tone.

"What? Missing? How did this happen?" I asked in a hurry.

Is Maya missing? Where is she? Is this why she is not picking up my phone? My mind got numb.

"Tell him what you see," King told Maya's assistant.

I look at the assistant kneeling in front of the King all the time. She looked tired. Two bodyguards were beaten badly. They were also on their knees as the king's command assistant looked at my scared face.

"We were coming back from your studio, sir, when one black car attacked us and kidnapped Madam. And he gave this to me. They told me to give it to you." She said and gave me one envelope.

I take the envelope and look at the King for confirmation. He just nodded his head.

"It's your name, so I thought you should open it."

"Father, why didn't you call me first? Six hours have already passed." I said with a worried tone.

"When I got the news, my man ran to find who did this. I thought I'd find her. So I searched CCTV too. We find out they are not from our country. They smell not like snakes." King said in a worried tone.

As King said, I sniffed the envelope in my hand. I smell werewolf scents on it. And Lavender scents.

'It's him! Xavier!? Why is his scent on the envelope?'

"They are werewolves," I murmured to myself.

"Wolf? What do those dogs want from my daughter?" Does he hiss in anger? His back tongue waved out of his mouth, and his eyes sparkled in blue.

"Maybe… Me…" I said a bit nervously.

"Care to explain?" He asked.

I look at the envelope and stare helplessly. If I tell him about my mate, he will definitely never be happy about that. He will think I'll leave his daughter.

"Jay… I'm waiting for your explanation. Why wolf's want to kidnap my daughter? You know she is pregnant. If something happens…" King tries to control his anger.

"Nothing will happen to her," I growled in anger. Then I said sorry in a low tone. I'm an alpha son, and I can't bow to anyone.

"I know you care for my daughter. And you take good care of her. But I need to know why all of a sudden wolves have an interest in my daughter."

"It happened when we were in Alpha king's place. After the Alpha meeting, Maya had a small fight with Alpha Emily. And Maya bit her in self-defence. As a result, the Alpha female is now on the death path. Maybe that's why they took Maya with them. So she cured Alpha." I told him half the story. I'm not ready to tell him that Alpha Emily is my ex.

King nodded in understanding and stood up.

"What are you going to do?" He asked curiously.

"Don't worry, I'll bring Maya back safe," I said confidently.

"Fine. Bring her back. I trust you. Don't break my trust." He pats my shoulder as he walks past me.

I sigh in relief. He was so dangerous sometimes. I'm not scared of him. But still a respectable person in my life.

"Get up and have a rest," I told the assistant and bodyguards.

"Thank you, sir." Both three said and walked out of the house.

I walk back to my bedroom. I started missing Maya. I look at the envelope and open it.

To my lovely Mate Jay,

I hope you get my surprise. Yes, your so-cold wife is with me. My warrior kidnapped her. I don't know if you know this, but your wife poisoned my sister and your Mate. She is fighting for her life. I want you to come here in my pack. To see Emily last time. If she dies, your wife will also die with her. She doesn't have much time. So hurry up and come to our pack (your future pack)

I folded the envelope and sniffed Xavier's scents on it. I'm making my wolf calm down. I pack my bag for travel. As Maya said, I need to do all the procedures to save Emily.

Yes, I'm going to his pack. To take my wife back. As for our bonds, I'll make sure this time I break all ties with them.
