Finding Spencer at the police station was a long shot, but fate got one thing right today.
I tackle my brother in a hug, ignoring his superior completely.
"I need to talk to you. It's an emergency."
Spencer's face turns serious, but he looks to his boss as if asking for permission.
The older man doesn't grant it, but instead starts talking.
"So this is your little sister? Annabelle am I right?"
I don't answer, turning back to my brother instead.
"I'm pregnant," I say letting all the agony of the day slip Into my words.
My brother muscles tense from where his arm is around my shoulder an she mutters an excuse
me to his superior before speed walking us down the hall into an empty interrogation room.
"You're pregnant?!"
I bite my lip and nod, sitting on the big metal table while my brother walks in circles around me.
"The father?"
"Doesn't want anything to do with the baby."
Spencer growls and whispers some choice cuss words under his breath.
After a few minutes, he stops pacing and kneels in front of me, putting a hand on my stomach
and staring with wide eyes.
"I have a little niece or nephew in here?"
I smile and move his hand a little lower.
"It's in my uterus, not my gut."
Spencer chuckles a bit and stand to engulf me in a tight hug.
"You know I'll support you no matter what? I'll be here with you every step of the way."
That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I just needed the confirmation that someone would be there
for me and love the baby as much as I would.
If I can garuntee a loving home and a loving family, maybe bringing a kid into the picture isn't
such a bad idea.
Anthony would throw an epic baby shower and every birthday would be a practical ball. The
baby doesn't need a father to have a good life. In fact, life may be even better without Lucas.
"I think I want to keep the baby," I say.
Spencer smiles widely and hugs me again, not letting me go this time.
"Spencer jr." He whispers.
I roll my eyes and kick my brothers shins to make him back up. Maybe Spencer could be his or
her middle name.
"Good enough for me."
