I stare from the cheque and then to the man standing next me . He was as composed as ever . I wonder how he is able to do all that and still act like he has not done anything at all. I once again look at the money . That money is so enough for my mother’s operation . I felt so tempted but again did not want to appear like a charity to him .

Knowing him very well , I knew he would actually use that at his advantage in order to get so much from me so I had to be so keen with how all was being done by me .

“Oh , don’t tell me you are going to act like you always have done in the past ?” he asks me mockingly of course . I surely even have no idea on what I should do . I try opening my mouth to say something but at the end of it I end up not even saying a single thing .

I really need the money but part of me is telling me that it would be a complete mess if at all I accept the money now . But still my money is the first priority in everything that I do . I can even offer my life to ensure that she is happy and well.

“Talk already , I think you saw how busy I was earlier.” He persuades me . Of course I knew that he was doing it not that he actually had any program ahead. The main thing that he wanted was to ensure that I am under him …that is what he has always wanted right from the start .

“Okay , I will sign the cheque but of course don’t accept anything from me .’ I said to him straight forwards and I hoped that he saw how serious I was at this .

But what he did next shown exactly that he had not taken in what I had told him seriously at all. He raised his hand putting it around my waist and then pulling me closer into him and then his eyes boring into me . That is one of the things that he knew very well that would annoy me and yet he went further to do it .

“That is so good little one …so good indeed.” He said and even went ahead to empathize it flashing me a mischievous smile . After a few seconds, I get back to my senses and pull his hand off me standing aside .

“Okay , I really need that cheque signed for me”

The moment I got out of the office , I called the doctor so that he would know that I had gotten the money and therefore mom’s operation would be set.
