I told you to keep time

I breathed in and out several times. It is something that I usually do all the time when I am so upset with something . At this moment I was even more than upset . I was literary so furious and I swear you would not believe it .
I had deliberately put myself into this and I had to deal with it but it was not something that was easy at all. I had no option other than what I had done .
I grabbed my phone in the hands rapidly wondering if it would be an equal one if I texted him back with the same vibe .But after some seconds I managed to control myself –all in all there was something that I was not supposed to forget ,he is right now my boss and therefore have to make sure that I don’t forget that no matter what.
I continue contemplating about everything until when I finally fall asleep ready for work tomorrow. It was so strange that I was this anxious …I was actually acting like one who had just gotten a new job from college. For my sake, it was the same job and I had not even changed the working place .
However what was making me this way was the fact that I was now going to work under some one whom I swear I did not want to look at due to what he had done to me …I was still supposed to work under him .

The next day , I woke up with a rack . I was even now even more nervous than I had been the night before . I had even forgotten that at the end of it I had not decided on what cloth to wear . I am not one person who is always worried about what to wear but this was totally different to the point that I would not even explain it .
I knew I had to get done in time . For everything that happened and all that that would happen , I at least wanted to get to work in time . After a little hesitate , a settled for a little black dress. It was skimpy that displayed my psyche so well.
I could not even recall the last time I had last put this on and yet all the time that I had put it on in the past , I had only gotten positive comments that it indeed looked great on me .
I combed my hair backwards leaving some curies at the tips of it .Unusually , I apply some red lips stick and altogether complete the look with my red heeled shoes . I decided to get to my mom’s bedroom so that I would kiss her good bye before leaving for work . It is something that I can never forget doing no matter what .
“Wow , you look so beautiful .” mom complimented me the moment she saw me get into her room . I like the fact that she is getting well at such a steady progress .
I moved straight to her bed and leant in kissing her on the cheek before adding;
“Good morning ,Mummy.” Of course I was trying my self from smiling stupidly due to the comment that mom had said to me, ‘looking beautiful’. She is always the same person who says that to me .
“Good morning my princess.” She replied taking hold of my hand .
“You are totally different today . Don’t tell me that –
“No no , that its not it mom .”I interrupted her even before she was able to finish the whole statement . I knew where this was actually heading to . That has been mom’s dream for quite a long time now . She always wants to see that I get some one . I just don’t want to break her heart by telling her that that is not my intention at the moment .
What I am working and looking at at the moment is to ensure that she is okay other than once again being heart broken just like it happened to me some time ago .
“Okay , but I am hoping that one time –
“Okay , mom .” I once again interrupted her for I knew what she wanted to say .
I remained her about telling her medicines and everything else before I embarked on my journey . This time around, I was able to get a cab since it was not raining and got to work so quickly and easily .
“Good morning , Amirah . It has been some days . How is your mother ?” One of my fellow workmates asks me as we get into the Elevator . I told her briefly since the lift did not take such a long time and we are already there .
I headed for my new work place – that is Ray’s office . I was more than sure that he has not got to work yet . I wanted by the time he got here to find when I was done with each and everything that I had to do. I was going to make sure that he does not get even a single thing that will make him provoke me .
“What the hell!” I yelled out at what was before me . Not in my weirdest dreams did I ever think that I was going to get him here . Not at all had it at any moment crossed through my mind. Ray was sited in his office chair seeming so busy with his work on his laptop .
I stared at him as he stared at me back . Had he spent his night here? It was about 6:46am and yet the office hours started at 7:30 am . I was completely speechless. I opened my mouth but I did not have anything getting out my mouth .
What more was a comparison of this guy really . I wanted to look away from his face but it was just so hard for me .
“I told you to keep time .” it was the statement that he said as he stood up approaching me …
