Sixteen“We hit the stage from both sides,” Brewster said at the start of his story. “Curly and me, we came from the west side. Curly, he was a deadeye with that g*n – any g*n. He shot the driver, then did for the shotgun guard. I watched him walk up to the stage and shoot through the door. I think he hit some fella, who fell out on the other side. Then Curly walked up to the window and asked if there was a man named Bowen inside. I heard some voices, then Curly fired one more shot. “The boys from the other side, they came riding in, hollerin' and a-shootin'. Arthur, he was there and when they got to the stage, they got the people out. We had two men working inside, dressed as businessmen, but they were in a bad way – they said the big, lean guy who Curly shot through the door punched 'em
