Gabriella placed a call to her mother that evening, she had passed on calling the woman the night before because of what Barrett had said to her, but she knew she had to speak with the woman if she was to have any chance at leaving the house the next day or any day at that, she could call her dad too if she wanted but she was not so sure if she had forgiven the man. She had thought of the right excuse she could give to persuade Barrett into letting her leave the house and she could not think of any better excuse to use than her parents. She had to tell her parents to convince Barrett to allow her come see them and she could use the opportunity to see Ryan after that.
