Gage reached over, his palm sliding across my hand as he weaved our fingers together.
"Everything will be okay, I promise." He leaned into me, his words bringing me comfort as I felt my body finally relax.
"Let's just enjoy this moment right now, Cupcake, I have a surprise for you." He smiled sweetly, his large hand squeezing mine as I nodded and let out a deep breath.
I watched as Gage's eyes darted towards the front of the car where Wesley and Marco sat in the front.
Suddenly he reached up, his finger pressing a button that I didn't even know was there, prompting a black window divider to roll up between the front and back of the car.
"I didn't know the car could do that." I mumbled, glancing back at Gage as a mischievous grin began pulling at the corner of his lips.
