I have decided to talk to Miss Wilson. I have been having these wet dreams for weeks now. They keep getting sexier and sexier. I am to the point that my body wants him to find me. I need release so badly. I don't even know who he is or where to look. Should I try to find him? God. Maybe I am being stupid, but I just can't help it. I got ready for work and grabbed a coffee and a lox bagel. I decided to surprise Miss Wilson with coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Maybe if I butter her up, she will be more willing to answer my question. Hey, it's worth a shot. I walk briskly and make it to the bookstore.
I feel like I am being watched. It is a strange feeling. I look over my shoulder, but no one is there. Hmmm... I need to stop reading scary books. I am becoming paranoid about everything. Geez. I walk in and see Miss Wilson behind the counter. "Surprise!" I say happily. She looks up and smiles softly. "I brought you breakfast, my treat this time," I say, chuckling. "Thank you, Katy. How did everything go while I was away?" she said calmly. I twiddle my fingers nervously. She looks at me with a frown and tilts her head softly. "What is it, Katy? Does this have anything to do with you snooping in my office? Hmmm....." she says sternly. I gasp with horror. I didn't think she would find out.
"I am.... s-so sorry... M-miss Wilson. I didn't mean to." I say, trembling and feeling tears in my eyes. I try to blink them away. She walks over to me and hugs me tightly. "Katy, dear, I have cameras all over this store. Did you forget? What exactly were you looking for? I'm not mad, sweetheart. I know you would never steal from me." she says warmly. I look up and feel embarrassed. "Well, actually, I was looking for a book," I say cautiously. She looks at me confused. "A book? What....." she says but instantly stops and shakes her head. "You were looking for that leather-bound book I had the other night, weren't you?" she says softly.
I just nod my head softly and pout. "I'm sorry, I was just so curious. I couldn't help myself." I say calmly. She chuckles slightly. "Oh, Katy! What am I going to do with you?" she says, laughing softly. I figure this would be the best time to tell her. "Can I talk to you about something?" I ask cautiously. "Of course, dear, you can always come to me about anything," she whispered quietly. I walked over and sat down behind the counter and took a deep breath. Here goes..... "Well, I guess I should start from the beginning. Several weeks ago, while you were gone, I... ummm.... kinda got engrossed in a book and left the store really late, almost got attacked by a drunk man and then got lost, then a stranger tried to help me, but then he started kissing me and mumbling words about soulmates and some other stuff and now I keep having wet dreams about him. I can't stop thinking about him. What should I do?" I say rapidly, trying to finish before I punk out.
She looks at me with her eyes wide in shock, and her mouth is open. Okay. "Oh God, Katy! I don't know if this is good or bad. You have to tell me what this person tells you. Be very specific about what he says and does apart from being s****l. It's very important, Katy." she says, trembling. I look down and speak softly. "Well, he told me that I was his soulmate and that he will claim and mark me. When I was close to him in person and in my dreams, I felt like I had no control over my body. When I first encountered him, he nipped my lip while he was kissing me and I was bleeding a little and when I wiped it off with my finger he sucked my finger clean and told me that I tasted divine. He also told me in my dream that since I was a virgin, he would be my first and last. Oh, and last but not least, in every dream towards the end, he always bites the crevice of my neck and sucks my blood." I tell her everything trying to stay calm.
"Katy, you have to stay away from him. I don't know how this has happened, but you are a soulmate to a vampire. Don't look at me like that. They are very real. I should know, since I have known a few, since well... Katy, I am a witch." she says softly. I don't know what overcomes me, but I start giggling. I mean, seriously, does she really expect me to believe all this? Suddenly, without blinking an eye, she waves her finger, and the book I was looking for appears in her hand. I shut up instantly. My eyes grow big, and I gape at her. "You're serious, aren't you?" I ask dumbfounded. She smiles and nods her head.
"Yes, Katy, I am very serious," she remarks. She locks her store and grabs my hand, and has me follow her upstairs. She has me sit on her couch, and she hands me the book. "This must be kept between us, Katy. This is very important stuff," she says sternly. I nod my head, and she leaves the room. I open the book and find so many spells and pictures of past witches. There are pictures of past vampires and werewolves and lots of supernatural creatures. I am scared beyond anything I have ever read before. Knowing that these creatures are all real. Now I know why Miss Wilson has always told me not to go out after dark.
When I finish reading everything that I can, I very carefully close the book and take a deep breath. Wow. That was a lot to take in.
I need a break from all this craziness. I decided to call Frank. Maybe having dinner with him will help me forget about HIM.
I walk downstairs and notice Frank is buying a book he has been waiting for for weeks. I smile and decide to make the first move. *cough* *cough* Frank turns his head to the sound and notices me. He instantly gets a huge smile on his face. "Katy! I was just talking about you. I was wondering where you were." he says softly as he smiles genuinely. I chuckle and walk down the stairs and around the counter. "I was just going to call you Frank. Are you still wanting to go out for dinner?" I ask him.
He smiles smugly and nods his head rapidly. "Yes! I am still up for it. Do you want to go tonight?" he asks hopefully. "Yes, please pick me up around 7:30," I say, nodding my head and giving him my address. He hugs me quickly and says thank you and then walks happily outside. Miss Wilson just chuckles. "This will be good for you, Katy," she says warmly. "Those were my thoughts as well," I say as I glance at my phone. It is 6:30 at the moment and it is still light out. "Can I go home early, Miss Wilson?" I ask, smiling. "Yes, dear! Of course! Just be careful, okay?" I nod my head and grab my stuff, then leave. I walk to my building and then go inside. I take a shower and get myself ready for my date.
*Frank POV*
I am so excited. I have not had a date in a while. I tried several times to ask Katy out, but she always hesitated. I reached into my pocket to get my phone when I realized I had forgotten it at work. I get in my car and head back to the office. I have to hurry. I want to be fresh when I pick up Katy. I don't want to be late either. I park my car and rush to the security guard. I show him my badge, and he lets me in. I head straight to the elevators and go to my floor. I work on the thirty-seventh floor of Maxwell Enterprises. I rush to my office and open my door, and spot my phone. I let out a sigh of relief when I suddenly felt my body get slammed up against the wall harshly. I gulp when my eyes snap up and notice my boss has me pinned to the wall. He looks murderous. I begin to shake uncontrollably. "S-sir... I..... c-can I help you with something?" I say calmly. He takes a deep breath like he is smelling me. "Why do you smell like my soulmate, Frank?" he whispers gruffly and is tense. "Soulmate, Mr. Maxwell? I'm not sure what you mean. I just came by to get my phone. I really have to go, sir, if there is nothing I can do for you." I say, trying not to upset him. He grits his teeth and finally nods his head and lets me go. That was unlike my boss. Keenan Maxwell never loses control. I wonder what has happened to him. Hmmm... Oh well, I have more important matters to attend to. I have my lady in waiting to go pick up and have dinner with me.
