"Aunt Camille, can you put me down now? I am not a kid." Erella told the Marchioness. They were already out of the boutique but Marchioness Camille was still holding her in her arms. She felt ashamed because her mind is already twenty-six years old. She couldn't take it if they will still treat her like a kid.
"Aunt Camille------- Maxwell called his Aunt. Erella thought he will also agree with her but she raised her eyebrows when Maxwell spoke again.
"Give her to me, It's not good for you to hold her for too long," Maxwell said while blushing with his straight face. He also wanted to hold Erella but the Marchioness didn't listen to him.
"You talk gibberish, my dear nephew. I can still hold her even a day." The Marchioness said confidently. Maxwell wanted to refute his Aunt but Marchioness Camille let out a dangerous aura. So he who was scared of his aunt's anger stopped competing to hold Erella. He looked at Erella feeling upset.
On the other hand, Erella who wanted to go down from the Marchioness's arms changed her mind when she felt the dangerous aura that the Marchioness released. As they became close, she forgot how dangerous this woman can be.
"Uhmmmm... Au---Aunt Camille, I am hungry. Can we stop over there to eat?" Erella said pointing to a cake shop to divert her attention from her rising anger. Suddenly, her dangerous aura disappear. Then she looked at her and smiled sweetly.
"Oh my! I forgot the time. Ok, let's eat first then shop for your shoes." Marchioness Camille said smiling. Erella sighed a relief. Then the three of them entered the shop she pointed. After the usher brought them to an empty table, the Marchioness put her down on a chair.
"Thank you, Aunt Camille." Erella thank her after settling down on a chair.
"Don't worry about it, dear." The Marchioness answered her then patted her head warmly. She looked at the Marchioness. For the past days, she lived in von Heinlein duchy, she just became close with them because she wanted to stay alive. She was afraid if she will make the Marchioness upset, she will end up dead. So her feelings for them were insincere. She was just acting lovable in front of them to curry favor to the Marchioness. But looking at the Marchioness now, who was looking at her like a loving mother to her daughter, suddenly she felt warmth spreading around her chest. She never felt this before because in her past life she was an orphan and when she reincarnated as Erella, her stepmother and stepsisters didn't love her at all. They just treated her like a slave. Now she can say that she really likes the Marchioness with all her heart. And she will treat her like her mother. So she thought that it's ok for the Marchioness to treat her like a kid and spoil her. She smiled happily and wanted to thank the Marchioness again but her words didn't come out. Because Maxwell, who was on her other side, was putting a table napkin around her neck like a baby bib.
"Max! I am not a kid! I just look like one, but I'm already a sixteen-year-old young lady." Erella said puffing her cheeks. It was ok for the Marchioness to treat her like a kid but not Maxwell! Maxwell is her type. So if he will treat her like a kid, how can they be together in the future?
'NO WAY, HOWAY! I will not let you treat me like a kid!' She thought and stared at him intently. Max turned red beet.
"I'm sorry, Erella. I didn't mean to treat you like a kid but I'm just worried you will get messy when you eat your food later." Max explained with his puppy eyes. The puppy eyes that Max did were only in Erella and the Marchioness's eyes. For the others who saw him, he looked like he wanted to devour the kid beside him.
Erella almost believed what he said. But when she realized what he said, she snorted at him.
"You really treated me like a kid!" She exclaimed and turned sideways to show that she's mad at him. Maxwell panicked while Marchioness Camille chuckled.
"Okay, okay my dears! Let's order first." Marchioness Camille said and took the menu from the usher who was awkwardly standing near them. Erella's stomach grumbled so she immediately agreed with her, even though she was a bit upset with Max. After giving their orders, she told Maxwell to stop treating her like a kid. Maxwell agreed immediately. That was what Erella thought. But she became disappointed when they were already eating the sweets they ordered. She thought that Maxwell romantically wiped her left cheek with his finger, like what she saw in the dramas she watched in her past life. But she thought wrong. He was just wiping her cheek with the table napkin like a kid who ate messily.
'Sun of a g*n! He still thinks of me as a kid!' Erella shook her head while rolling her eyes.
Urgh! I give up! But next time I will let you feel that I am not a kid anymore!' 'She promised herself then looked at Maxwell. Marchioness Camille was just chuckling most of the time.
They finished their shopping almost at five o'çlock in the afternoon. So when they were about to ride the carriage, Erella told them to wait for a while inside it. Because she just wanted to toss a coin in the fountain and make a wish.
"I will be quick!" She said. Then quickly went to the fountain. She wanted to wish that she will grow so Maxwell will not treat her like a kid anymore. After wishing, she turned around and was about to run but she bumped into someone.
"Ouch!" She groaned touching her shoulder that got hurt from the impact.
'Argh! Don't tell me, the one I bumped will be the same as Lady Moniques?' She thought then looked at the person she bumped into. She was awestruck! The person she bumped into was handsome! He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He looked like the prince in every novel she read in her past life. She snapped back when she heard Maxwell called her. She immediately said sorry to the young man she bumped, then ran towards the carriage.
'Nah! My Max is still more handsome.' She murmured then shouted.
"I'm coming!"
She didn't notice how the handsome young blonde man looked at her.
