I felt as though Vladimir's words were echoing through my mind and yet I could not comprehend them. I had always believed that being free and liberated was brought about by finding love. But here, Vladimir was telling me that it did the opposite, and he was offering me a chance to be free of the binds that would inevitably hold me down. This was a chance to be free from the soulmate bond.
My disbelief kept my feet frozen in place, my heart hammering against my chest. My vision swam as temptation began to creep into my system. Was this real? Could I actually have a chance at freedom?
