"Hello, again."
I looked to my right from my spot against the tree and saw Landon walking over to me with his jacket thrown over his shoulder.
"Hello." I said shyly.
"I thought the King appointed you a maid." Landon commented, and looked around, "Why isn't she with you and where is your guard?"
I pointed a few feet away and Landon looked over at my guard sitting in a tree on one of the thick branches. He was slumped back looking bored as he looked over at us.
"I see." Landon glared at the man who straightened up and looked more alert. "And your maid, she should be with you while you're with other men."
"Why do you care?"
"Why? I'm offended." Landon placed his large hand over his heart, "You are my future Queen. I care very deeply for you and your honour."
"I'm sure you do." I rolle
