CHAPTER SIXTEEN Keri grabbed her bulletproof vest and threw it on as she darted across the street and sprinted over to where she heard the raised voices. She ordered herself to stop hyperventilating and maintain control. It seemed to help. As she got closer, she realized that there was only one raised voice. It was young, male, and agitated.
