Chapter Four

Isabella
When I heard Jen screaming my entire body turned ice cold and I felt Drew's body stiffen next to me. She could only mean one thing. Someone had taken my darling sons.
Why did these things keep happening to us? Why couldn't we have just one day to be happy and enjoy without something terrible happening?
I broke away from Drew and spun towards the direction I had heard Jen shout from.
If it was even possible my terror intensified when I saw her standing there naked and pale on extremely wobbly legs, in fact as my eyes fell upon her her knees buckled and she began to tumble towards the ground.
Drew was at her side before she fell and caught hold of her and quickly threw his jacket around her shoulders.
" What happened?" I gasped as I reached the pair of them.
" Am....bush..ed..."
" WARRIORS! FIND MY SONS!" Drew roared so loudly that the ground beneath our feet actually trembled.
All around us warriors sprang to attention and sprinted towards the packhouse in the direction Jen had pointed.
Drew lifted Jen up and began run towards the pack hospital which was also in the same direction and I sprinted along behind them as best as I could in my long wedding gown and high heeled shoes.
It didn't take long to get there as it was right next to the packhouse and Doctor Stones the pack doctor was waiting for us to arrive.
He had of course been invited to the wedding but had left straight after the ceremony, he was such a workaholic something I was grateful for right now.
We needed to know exactly what had happened and who had taken my sons if we stood any chance of getting them back quickly.
Drew laid Jen down gently on the bed in the room doctor Stones had led us to and she immediately closed her eyes and her breathing became heavy as she slept.
I could see no sign of any head injury so I knew that she must of been hit with wolfsbane or some kind of magic to be asleep at a time like this.
She was also naked which indicated she had recently shifted and knowing her as well as I do there is no way she would have shifted back without attempting to chase whoever had taken my sons unless she was forced to.
Tears fill my eyes as I begin to panic, imagining how terrified my little boys must be right now.
" Alpha, Luna You need to come to the packhouse right away" Owen mindlinks us.
Drew glances at Jen and is clearly satisfied that she is going to be ok and grabs my hand in a comforting way.
" I swear to the moon goddess, I will get our boys back Isabella".
I nod and gulp back my tears.
I trust Drew with my life but we have no idea who has taken my boys or why so I can't help but think this might be a promise he can't keep.
We start to run towards the packhouse but my shoes are making it extremely difficult so in the end Drew just picks me up and carries me the rest of the way.
We enter the hallway and I gasp at the sight before me.
Marcus is naked except for Owen's jacket thrown over him and he is covered in bloody bites and deep gashes. He has clearly fought to save our sons and only being an Omega he is weaker than other ranked wolves.
I am concerned for him but my attention is drawn to another man I don't recognise who is also naked and bloody but the difference is this man is being restrained with a big pair of silver handcuffs and Owen and Cal are stood on either side of him with with furious looks on their faces.
It doesn't take a genius to work out this mystery man has something to do with my missing boys.
Drew starts towards him but before he can reach him I am there. I tear my shoe from my foot and with every bit of force I can I hammer the heel into his exposed thigh.
He screams in both pain and shock as it buries its way deep into his thigh.
"WHERE ARE MY SONS?" I scream at him as I begin to pummel his face as hard as I can with my bare hands.
I feel strong arms wrap around me and I know from the tingles on my skin its Drew.
He pulls me away gently yet forcefully and I struggle to break away from his grasp.
" Drew let go of me! That piece of s**t knows who has my boys!"
" I know princess but he can't tell us much now you have beaten him unconscious" Drew says softly to me.
I realise then that his head had completely sagged to one side and he is in fact out cold.
" Take him to the dungeons. Inform me the second he wakes. Have at four guards stationed outside his cell" Drew says to Owen and Cal who both immediately follow his orders without question.
I run to Marcus in desperation as he is now my last chance to know what happened. I collapse on the floor next to him and he answers my question before I even ask it.
"Their teacher. Miss Beatrice"
I'm sure I have heard him wrong. Miss Beatrice is a lovely young omega, around the same age as me and so good with the boys.
Marcus nods as if to clarify for me.
"Why? Why would she take them?"
" I don't know why but I can tell you she did. Whilst the man she was with attacked she blew some kind of dust in their faces that knocked them out and took off carrying them. I was trying to fight him and Jen tried to get to them but she blew some of that dust at Jen too. I don't know what was in it but she shifted straight back.... I'm sorry I failed to protect the boys".
I open my mouth to speak but before I can Drew does " You did the best you could. That man was clearly a strong wolf and Beatrice must have used wolfsbane on Jen. No one else would have been able to prevent such an ambush either. She has obviously been planning this."
" You don't think she knows about Jack's tears and the power they hold do you?" I ask them both as it suddenly dawned on me that could be a reason to take them.
" It's possible. We won't know until our guest in the dungeons wakes up or the warriors track her down. Hopefully they have her scent and she hasn't got far." Drew says with a pained look on his face.
Jack and Jacob might not be his by blood but he loves them just as much as our three girls.
It's just at that moment we both receive a link from a couple of the warriors who had gone after her.
" We followed a trail, the Alpha pups and a female pack member. It stopped just outside the territory boss. They must of gotten in a vehicle."
Drew sent a link back telling them to stay where they had lost the trial and he was going to send some cars. Hopefully they could follow in a car and pick up hers or the boys scent at a nearby town.
I wasn't hopeful though. I highly doubted she would be stupid enough after all this planning to stop somewhere close by.
" You should go to bed and try and get some sleep princess." He said to me.
I glared at him. There was no way I was sleeping while my babies where out there somewhere alone and scared.
" Ok! At least go and lie down and I will link you if there is any news" Drew said as he threw his hands up in the air in defeat.
" What are you going to do?"
" I'm going to go and start ringing around every Alpha within a three hundred mile radius and tell them to be on the look out for them"
" That will take hours. I'm not going to bed. I will help you. It will be quicker if we both do it and I want to be ready to see what that dickhead in the dungeons has to say"
" Fine but we need to get Marcus to the hospital first, he needs to be checked over by Doctor Stones and I'm sure he wants to see Jen"
Marcus perks up slightly at the mention of Jen.
" How is she? Owen said she had made it to you and collapsed." I could hear the concern in his voice for her.
" She is unconscious at the moment but Doctor Stones said he couldn't see any physical injuries so she probably just needs to sleep off the effects of whatever Beatrice threw her way". Drew told him as he helped him to his feet and supported his weight as he slowly limped alongside him.
