CHAPTER 16 AZALEA I slowly opened my eyes. The blinding rays of the sun appeared partly on the curtain-covered windows. The rays were no longer tender and likely to temporarily affect the vision of anyone who dared to look straight onto them. Both Dimitri and I must have slept long due to tiredness from a strenuous and exhausting activity we did last night. I GAVE MYSELF TO HIM, and there was no regret on my part. However, it was strange that I’ve given myself to someone with no firm commitment between us. BUT still, I have no sense of sadness. We lived in a modern world, and the attraction had always been there. More so, it was a mutual decision. I wanted him as he wanted me. I wouldn't fret about what I allowed to happen —it was an act between two consenting adults. Dimitri would
