Suprises Fifty-Two: Roberto I couldn’t believe that I let my Mater talk me into getting onto an airplane. I hate flying. I would have much rather taken the long way by boat instead of by air. I still cannot believe that I’m here. I don’t think I should be here. I don’t think that Ilaria will want to see me, but I cannot let my Mater go by herself. The fasten your seat belt sign comes on as we are circling the landing strip. Clutching onto the arm rests, tensing up as I feel my Mater soft old hand on top of mine. “Close your eyes, take a deep breath.” I follow her directions. “Image yourself in your favorite place. Keep that image in your head until I tell you.” Nodding my head. I keep my eyes closed and hope that we land safely. Feeling the wheels hit the tarmac is nerve racking to say
