People you find At Walmart

Poppy As we backed up, I felt my breath halt as Jess slowly became smaller. My legs clamped closed as I felt a heat start to pool in my core. I tried to roll my window down to get fresh air, but they were locked. “So, where to Poppy?” He turned the wheel, getting onto the main road. I pulled my phone, inputting the address for the Walmart on Washington St. I turned my volume up as the GPS guided him to our destination. The silence made my heart pounding amplified, making me think he could hear it. He placed his hand on my thigh as he chuckled. “Relax Poppy...” He rubbed his thumb on me as I felt my face burst into the shade my hair was. I looked out the window as we passed by that dreaded house. “How was your birthday?” He broke the silence with his husky voice. “Fine.” I sharply answered, keeping my eyes on the passing trees. “Hmm... really? You didn’t answer any texts...” His grip got tighter on my thigh as I turned my head to look at him. “We’re broken up Jake, I don’t have to answer you,” I responded with a tinge of anger in it. He clicked his tongue as he pulled the wheel to the right, turning as the GPS instructed him to. “Well, I had to Poppy. My dad said he wouldn’t help put a good word into the Uni I wanted if I didn’t.” He flicked a glance at me as I rolled my eyes. His father never approved of us dating, but that didn’t seem like something he’d do. He was far too busy of a man. He ran his own company, some kind of loan business? I didn’t really pay attention to it because I wasn’t particularly interested in the man’s life. He turned again as the giant Walmart came into view. He pulled into the parking lot, parking as far as he could from the door. Of course, he doesn’t want someone to ding up his precious car. This is going to be a pain to hobble to. My thought was cut short as he leaned over me, brushing against my breasts as he opened the door for me. He locked his gaze with mine as he leaned in towards my lips, his inches away from mine. I quickly pushed him away, rolling out of the car. I winced as I put too much pressure on my knee. He got out of the driver’s seat and strode over to my side. He offered me a hand as he slyly grinned at me. I put mine in his as he pulled me up, quite roughly. I grunted as my face planted into his chest. “Jake...We’re done.” I pushed away from him as I tried to head for the entrance. He grabbed my wrist, halting and pulling me to him. He grabbed my chin, lifting my face towards his. “No red, we’re done...” He leaned down into my ear. “When I say we’re done.” He licked my lobe as my knees melted from underneath me. I grasped onto his shirt as I lost my will to stand. He hauled me back to my feet, wrapping his arm around my waist as he escorted me into the store. Maybe I should let him stay over tonight? He’s built like a wall. Maybe it’ll scare off my stalker? Do I tell him about my stalker? I snapped out of my thoughts as we were greeted by the door host. Jake smiled politely at them as she fawned over him. I rolled my eyes, trying to break out of his grasp, only to trip over nothing and almost fall on my face. If it wasn’t for him, I would have quite literally eaten s**t. “Same ol clumsy red,” He chuckled as he pulled me up to my feet. I don’t quite understand how I seem to get clumsier when I’m emotionally distressed. It’s like I have this power where all the unlucky things happen to me when I’m stressed out. A magnet for destruction. We made our way back to the electronics department; I roamed around aimlessly, trying to figure out which camera to get. I kept looking at my phone, then looking at the locked cabinet. Jake seemed irritated. Standing here in a Walmart, he’d prefer something more upscale. “What exactly are you here for?” He questioned me with annoyance in his voice. “Um... well...” I tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear as I shifted my foot uncomfortably. “I have... a stalker...” I mumbled out as I leaned forward, looking at the Roku indoor surveillance camera. “I’m sorry, what?” He raised a brow at me. He genuinely did not hear me. I sighed, standing up and pressing the red help button. “I just need some extra security...” I looked over his shoulder as the worker made their way over to us. The employee opened the cabinet, taking out the camera I pointed at. “Can I have six please? And the indoor one as well?” I tugged at my oversized shirt as Jake shot me a look. I rolled my eyes, turning on my heel to meet the employee at the register. I wasn’t paying attention and ended up tripping over the cart that someone left out. I stumbled forward as a massive arm caught me. It did not belong to Jake. I froze as an exotic scent ran through my nostrils. As I slowly looked up, my heart pounded in my head as my eyes landed on those neck tattoos. The man gently grabbed my shoulders, helping me gain my footing. “Thank... you sir,” I mumbled as I brushed my hands on my thighs. My gaze landed on his torso, causing me to suck in a breath. He was wearing a white t-shirt that clung to his body, highlighting all his features. God, he looked like he was just carved out of stone. My eyes landed on his face, which had a look carved into it that caused me to immediately look back at the ground. “We have to stop meeting like this.” He raised a brow at me as he... smiled? I felt my body tense up. He looked intimidating, and his smile just made me more nervous. His smile dropped as his eyes narrowed on Jake, who walked up behind me. He snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me towards him. “You alright red?” He planted a kiss on the top of my head. I sighed, shoving away from him and not answering. I worked my way past Mr. Tall, overly hot and brooding. I could have sworn he purposely placed his arm down, causing me to brush against it. I felt an electric jolt run through my body as I grabbed my lip with my teeth. I felt a moan rise in my throat as I quickly tucked my head down, heading towards the cashier. Jake wasn’t so nice. He shoved by him, smacking his shoulder with his. It was kind of funny because this man was a solid six-foot seven, whereas Jake was a good six-foot five. The man was built insanely as well, not like a brick wall like Jake, more of a lean, dangerous build. You know, like a predator... like a snow leopard. I quickly pulled out my phone, as the tension was insane. Even the cashier looked uneasy. I paid for my products through my app, took the bag, and turned to leave. Jake stepped aside, allowing me to walk by him as he blocked me from the other man’s vision. I was taking quick, sharp breaths as I turned and waved goodbye to the other man. “Excuse me... mic rosu,” I froze in place as his accent warmed my eardrums. I tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear as I turned to him. I could feel the disdain rolling off Jake. “You don’t happen to live... over off Clover Lane?” He tilted his head, looking at me curiously. I felt my face flush as I nervously looked around, as to avoid his look. “Uh...” I didn’t want to answer, especially with my stalker situation. I doubt this man was stalking me. He’s too hot. “Yea, why?” I finally responded, slowly moving my eyesight to him. He grinned an unsettling grin. “Ah, so you’re the daughter of that gal who won’t stop talking about ya!” He chuckled as he extended his hand to me. “I’m your handyman, Damian Locke,” He replied as I extended my hand, taking his to shake it. He pulled my hand up to his lips, planting a kiss on the back of my wrist. My body erupted in goosebumps as I heard Jake groan in protest. He took a step forward, grabbing my wrist and yanking it away from him. I ended up letting out a small yelp in pain as he ended up yanking my bum wrist. The atmosphere immediately changed as Damian’s grin dropped. “Let’s go Poppy...” Jake glared at Damian as he dragged me. I looked over my shoulder as Damian stood straight... perfectly like he was asserting his dominance. He rolled his neck as he kept his gaze on Jake. “See ya soon... mic rosu,” Damian did not smile or grin, he just glared at Jake like he was doing everything within his power to not rip him apart.
