Ohhhhh my feet were aching so hard today! I had been working a practical shift in the children’s ward, and while it had been tiring I had absolutely loved it! I may look to major in working in paediatric medicine on my degree as it was so rewarding working with them. But then it was devastating too when treatment was not working. I was so glad to get home and see Ryder. His little face lit up when I walked into the house. He had spent the afternoon with one of the older women from our pack, Mrs Parker today. She was so lovely with him, and took care of him quite regularly for me when I was working practical shifts, as her children were all grown up now and had children of their own. She treated Ryder like another grandchild, which was lovely to see. He loved the fuss she made of him, an
