-August 05: Wednesday- 12:31 p.m. “You know, I’m getting jealous.” Theia muttered while lightly tapping her fork into her almost untouched lunch. “She’s hogging Daisy to herself and I’m not used to it.” She frowned. “She’s not the best friend.” Nathan took a sip from his soda and tapped her shoulder in a comforting manner. “Last time I checked; you can’t stop praising her because she’s what?” he smirked. “You said that she’s a goddess and you want to be like her.” Theia rolled her eyes and harshly swatted his hand away. “Don’t mock me, jock.” She glared. “That impression was from Monday. I didn’t say I want her to take Daisy away.” She said, glaring at the guy who’s smirking at her. “I mean,” she paused, heaving a sigh before glancing at Eric and Calvin who’s silently eating their food beside them. “These two consumes most of her time already, so why will another one take her away from me?” Hearing that, Eric looked at her and smirked. “You sounded like a jealous girlfriend.” Not in the mood to answer back in a joking way, Theia raised her fork and pointed it at the two who’s looking at her. “What in the world are-” Nathan’s remarks were interrupted when the girl in front of her spoke. “I’m the best friend, okay?” she clarifies. “I don’t mind about how she’s been with you two because I know that you two were only comfortable around her.” “I didn’t say I am.” Calvin responded. “But your actions do. Because if you’re not, then you’re not supposed to be here.” Theia countered. “Anyways,” she rolled her eyes and put her fork down to properly look at the two who’s just waiting for her next words. “I’m so sad because we can only talk for hours and hours during weekends!” she ranted, throwing a tantrum like a child. “I want my best friend back!” she cried, causing for some of the students inside the cafeteria to look at their table. Seeing the attention pinned on them, Theia glared at the watchers. “What are y’all looking at?!” she questioned. “Sorry about that guys.” Nathan said, followed by a chuckle. “She’s just in her period so let her be.” “I-” To stop her from saying anything, Nathan picked three pieces of french fries and directly stuffed it in her mouth. “Now eat your craved food, okay?” he asked with a smile despite the glare being casted on him. Finishing to chew and swallow the unexpected food, Theia leaned forward and flicked his forehead. “Ow!” Nathan exclaimed as he caressed his forehead. “Why are you overreacting like that anyways? This is just the third day that Sasha’s been with us.” “Exactly!” she replied, frustrations written on her face. “It’s just been days but she’s been sticking to Daisy already. I am her best friend for almost 12 years and I haven’t experienced seeing someone take her from me for a whole day.” “You’re being egocentric.” Eric bluntly said, causing for Theia to glare at him and pin her anger at him. “And it’s not a whole day. Quit exaggerating.” “I’m no exaggerating. Sasha’s always asking Daisy to come with her, show her around, answer her questions, introduce her this, introduce her that.” Theia narrated. “She’s like literally asking Daisy to become her guardian at this school. Like, why won’t she stick to those girls or guys who’s craving her attention?!” “I can’t even have a straight conversation with her at school because Sasha will always appear and talk to her about things she can’t understand or what.” She said, followed by an annoyed sigh. “You’re really just overreacting.” Calvin remarked. “Calm down Theia, you’re just freaking out over nonsense.” Nathan added. “Stop whining. Get her to yourself when you can again.” Eric suggested. They just can’t see my point, don’t they? Theia thought bitterly. Am I really overreacting? Or they just can’t understand it because they’re not in the same position as me? Oh no. Don’t get negative all of the sudden, Theia. She thought, trying to convince herself, knowing well that her train of thoughts were going on the dark side. Daisy’s not here to listen to you and calm you down. “Fine. You guys win.” She scoffed, pretending to admit defeat. “And Eric,” she smugly called, a mocking grin present on her lips. “I’ll really hog Daisy to myself when I get the chance.” Quietly, she picks up the fork and twirled pasta on it, then started eating her meal. Maybe I’m overreacting. Maybe I just can’t stand the sight of seeing her spend more time with her than me. She thought, completely indulged with her negativities. I’m the best friend. I have right to overreact, right? *** Meanwhile, Daisy’s silently leaning on the wall while scrolling to her phone while waiting for Sasha to come out of the restroom. “Don’t you think this bag is lit?!” A girl named Tori bragged, proudly showing off her newly bought bag. “This is the newest release and I’m the second one who bought it!” she grinned; her accent obviously states she’s from a different race. “Well, my bag’s not the newest release but this is limited edition from Claret, and that’s only available in Frank Ville last Thursday.” Her friend, Vega showed off. “How about yours, Paige?” she asked, her high-pitched voice rang in Daisy’s ear. Will these cheerleaders shut up? Daisy rolled her eyes as she glanced to the three girls who’s just a few steps away from the restroom. They’re so noisy. “Mom bought this from Cardinal Island, remember the resort she visited?” Paige proudly asked. “Yep, this is customized and only I have it.” Ew. These girls don’t even consider each other as friends. Daisy thought. Fortunately, the three went in the restroom, causing for their volume to lower down a bit. I really hate those sweet girls’ wannabe. Putting her attention back on her phone, the few seconds of her returned silence was broken down when she heard the three conversing with Sasha. Intrigued, she closed her phone and walked towards the door. “OMG! Is that the rumored Claret bag that is to be released tomorrow?! You have it already?!” Vega asked with sparkling eyes, preying on Sasha’s bag. Sasha, on the other hand just chuckled. “Well, yes it is. My sister gave it to me as a present.” She answered with a smile. “Wow, your connection must be so good, huh?” Tori asked with a smirk, her tone’s in the middle of amazement and mocking. “What do you expect? She’s a Valentine after all.” Paige said, causing for the three to erupt in laughter. Is that even funny? Daisy thought, disgusted by the way the three approached Sasha. What? She’s not annoyed? She thought as she watched Sasha who just smiled at them. They’re making fun of her. Is she ignorant or just plain kind? “Maybe. But I got this bag because my sister’s so kind so she gave it to me even if this was a gift from one of her suitors.” She said, her feminine voice shut the three up. “What? Did I say something wrong?” she questioned, innocently looking at them. “You know, you’re just here for three days and you already earned the title of the ‘Campus Goddess’. Good to be you, huh?” Tori said. “Maybe they just exaggerated, guys.” Sasha laughed. “You know, I’m really wondering.” Vega said, slowly approaching her as her hand reached on Sasha’s bag. “Wondering about what?” Sasha asked with a smile. “Are you really not capable of getting mad, disgusted or anything?” Vega asked. Upon its mention, Paige snapped her fingers, showing her painted fingernails. “Yeah, like,” she paused, humming while thinking. “When a nerd confessed to you and gave you poorly made love letter.” “He exerted effort on it so I still appreciated it.” Sasha answered, making the three look at each other before bursting in laughter once again. “I’m not wrong, right?” “Seriously? I-HAHAHAHA OMG are you a saint or something?” Tori asked, trying hard to stifle her laughter. “I know right? That nerd’s ugly and his letter’s equally ugly!” Paige dissed. “And who the hell confessed like that in public nowadays? He humiliated himself in front of almost everyone.” Vega chuckled next. These judge mental cheerleaders were good for nothing students in Riverdale. Daisy thought, her brow raised as she watched the scene unfold. “Frey did nothing wrong to you, so stop that and then I’ll pretend I hear nothing, okay?” Sasha asked, still wearing her sweet smile. Once again, the girls’ laughed at her. “Hey girls quiet down, let’s say thank you the goddess.” Tori joked. “Thanks goddess.” Vega said, playing along with Tori. “Yeah, we’re thankful.” Paige said, followed by a mocking smile. Deciding to step up and end the scene, Daisy slowly clapped her hands. “What’s up cheerleaders? You here to recruit her to your useless club?” she asked in a sweet tone, easily irritating the three who finds her annoying for a long time now. “Get off your high horse, flower. You’re not a princess just like how the people sees you.” Tori scoffed. “Yeah, ‘Queen of the Campus’ my foot. Tori deserved it more than you.” Vega said before rolled her eyes. “Still her slave, eh? Such a shame.” Daisy said with a smirk. “But it fits you anyway so I’ll let it slide. A queen wannabe can’t make her imaginary castle if there’s no dumb people who follow her all day long.” “Who do you think you are? Some princess who has two princes in tow?” Paige mocked, glaring at her. “Oh look, I angered the second slave.” Daisy dissed, evilly looking at the three, a smirk playing on her lips. “Come on Sasha, don’t spend time with them because you don’t belong there.” Daisy said before chuckling, making Sasha give the three one last smile before walking towards her. Without a word, Daisy glared at them before turning around and walked away, followed by Sasha who waved her hand at the three annoyed girls before following Daisy. “Whoa, you’re cool.” Sasha exclaimed. “But you don’t need to insult them, though.” She said in a soft voice, making Daisy look at her with a brow raised. “They’re obviously making fun of you. You’re not even mad about it?” she questioned. With that, Sasha laughed. “They’re not making fun of me. That’s just the way they talk. I’ve seen lots of people like them.” Hearing her explanation, Daisy rolled her eyes. “Did you just justify their stupid ways?” “They’re not stupid, Daisy. Calm down.” Sasha said, followed by a chuckle. “I’m just used to them and that’s how see things. They’re like that so we need to understand that.” She preached. “We have different characteristics so we need to respect them.” No wonder she’s called a goddess. She seemed to not get the concept of anger. Daisy thought. “Nice explanation. Are you raised in a church or something?” she joked before laughing. “I just want to understand everyone. That’s why I am in Psychology Course.” She explained with a smile. “And I’m not raised in a church, Daisy.” She answered, making the both of them laugh. Walking while talking about random topic, they soon reached the cafeteria and went back in their table, only find them, except Theia, already done eating and is busy in their own world: Nathan playing games on his phone, Eric with his headphones on and also playing a game on his phone, and Calvin wearing earphones while reading a novel. “Hey, what’s up?” Daisy casually greeted as she sits on her seat beside Theia, surprising her who’s in the middle of staring at her pasta. “Just enjoying my pasta here.” Theia chuckled and looked at Sasha who’s beside Daisy. “How’s the school so far? Seen any interesting people yet?” she asked in a friendly way. Sasha smiled and looked at Daisy, and as if the two had a telepathic connection, they both laughed. Seeing their reaction, Theia curiously looked at the two back and forth. “Did we miss something?” she asked in a joking way. Before speaking, Daisy took a sip from her orange juice and looked at her with a smile. “Did you know that queen wannabe talked with her at the CR?” she asked first, earning her a chuckle. “How will I know that if I’m not around, silly?” she asked back, causing for Daisy to chuckle and nod at her answer. They seem to have a deeper connection now. She thought as she watched the two laughing and can’t say any word because of their unending laughter. “But you’re still wrong, though.” Sasha pointed out after stopping, causing for Daisy’s happy face to drop in an annoyed one. “Seriously? They’re the wrong ones, okay?” she frowned. Seeing her reaction, Sasha chuckled. “Don’t get mad easily. What if people hate you because of that?” she questioned, trying to convince her in lengthening her temper. “You need to be calm; you know.” “But you can’t really blame her if what she’s seeing is really annoying.” Theia justified in a friendly way, followed by a laughter to make her statement light and airy. “She’s been like that since we’re kids.” “Well,” Daisy paused, taking a sip from her juice. “Sasha’s right.” She shrugged. “But I don’t change for others so I’ll stick with Theia’s.” she said before chuckling. “What took you so damn long?” Eric asked, removing his headphones. “Your friend was on the verge of crying.” Calvin added. “And nearly cause a scene.” Nathan stated, causing for Theia to glare at the three snitches. Hearing them, Daisy stifled her laugh as she looked at Theia who’s still focused on glaring at the three, particularly at Nathan who’s in front of her. “Look like it’s we who missed something.” “It’s nothing.” Theia said, laughing to brush the topic off. “We just played a game and Nathan is being a wimp and doesn’t want a rematch cause he’s scared that I’ll beat him.” “I-” Nathan didn’t have the time to speak for the truth when Theia kicked his leg under the table, making him wince and just look at the girl who’s smiling at Daisy. “I didn’t cry okay? I just want a rematch because he always wins but he doesn’t want to.” She pouted. Liar. Daisy thought despite the chuckle she let out after hearing her. “Why didn’t you let her try another round, Nate?” she asked. You’re hiding something. It’s pretty obvious. “Nah. What if my luck runs out? I might lose the straight wins I’m having.” Nathan smirked, looking at Theia as if saying that she owes him one. “Right, bros?” he asked, now looking at the two who’s just staring at them. “I’m not part of it.” Calvin shrugged. “Get me out of it.” Eric said before going back on playing. After their statements, Sasha laughed, pinning their attention on her. “Oh sorry.” She said, biting her lips to stop herself from laughing. “I just- HAHAHAHA” she then used her hand to cover her mouth. “What’s gotten into you?” Daisy asked, confusedly looking at her who’s trying hard to not laugh. Heaving a deep breath to calm herself, Sasha smiled and looked at Eric and Calvin. “They’re funny.” She said, earning her blank faces from the people around her. “That’s basically who they are.” Theia said with a smile. “Yeah, it’s pretty normal.” Nathan said, confusion evident on his face and tone. “That made it way funnier.” Sasha commented. “I mean, they just straight up say what they want to and they act like robots.” She spoke. “In a cute way, that is.” What does she want to say? “I don’t get what you mean but okay.” She said, a half-smile present on her lips. She then looked at the two and smirked at them. “Hear that? Someone just said you two are funny.” “I’m not even trying to be one.” Eric answered. “Don’t drag me to become a clown.” Calvin answered next, causing for Daisy to roll her eyes at them. “I really don’t get how your brains work.” She said, shaking her head before finishing her orange juice. Smiling at them, Sasha’s eyes then turned to Theia. “So Theia,” she started, her sweet smile made Theia chuckle. “What?” “Why did you lie?” {}{}{} August 05: Hey diary, It’s been 3 days since Sasha joined us. School is fun (just kidding, it’s still boring as ever) and nothing new happened at all; maybe except Sasha’s presence. From what I’ve observed, she’s taking Psychology seriously. It’s getting scary to the point that she doesn’t know how to hold back. At our lunch, Theia lied about her reason when Nate, Eric, and Cal exposed her because of something we don’t know. She said that it’s because of games, but I can see she’s lying. I know Sasha’s just innocent enough to be hungry for reasons and she’s just trying to help people become honest to themselves and others. But still, she did something that even me, the best friend, hasn’t tried yet. I always consider the other’s feelings so I don’t act on my own and straight up ask her that right in front of the others. I guess me and Sasha have different ways with different people. When she asked Theia why did she lie, I was supposed to stop her but Theia managed to pull it off. She acted well (yes, my instincts said she didn’t state her reason) and that made me feel relieved. I want her to open up on her own. I can wait for Theia to speak, just like how she’s telling me everything and my diary witnessed it. -Daisy.
