Chapter Four

1630 Words
Liana's POV I stared wildly at the doctor, trying to understand what he just said. My mind ceased working immediately he told me that I am pregnant. "You mean I am going to have a baby?" I asked again, still in doubt that I have a life within me. "Yes dear, you are two weeks pregnant." "Oh okay" I zoned out contemplating whether this is good news or a bad one. Will Pharrell be happy about this? Of course he would. He wants to marry me someday so I am sure he would be happy that we are having a baby. "Are you okay Ms. Jones?" the doctor asked anxiously A smile broke on my face, feeling excited to share this with Pharrell but at the same time anxious about what his reaction would be. "I am just great doctor. Thank you." "That's nice, I thought you would explode, but this is unexpected. Normally girls your age cry their hearts out immediately they find out they are pregnant and tend to want abortion right away." "I get you, doctor, I am just happy about this and I know my partner will be trilled as well." "Well, congratulations Miss Jones and good luck." "Thank you doctor." "Here, this is a prescription for some vitamins and medications that can help with the nausea and the headaches. I will also advise you to schedule an appointment with the OBGN. They would be able to explain more about pregnancies and what you should expect during this time." "I will doctor. I am sure my fiancé will do that." I thanked the doctor again before exiting his office. I walked to Gladys, who sat at the reception patiently, waiting for me. "So?" she asked eagerly "So what?" I pretended not to know what she meant. "Don't play dumb with me. What did the doctor say is wrong with you?" "Guess it dear." I know she hates guessing, but it is my way of pulling her legs. "You have HIV?" "Hell no!" "Cholera?" "No! stop mentioning those horrible diseases." "But you said I should guess knowing very well I hate that shit." "I know I told you to guess but why guess those horrible deadly diseases. Would I be joking with you if I am down with HIV or cholera?" I uttered rolling my eyes. "I am sorry for guessing that duh. Now tell me what it is or you want me to guess some more?" "No, there is no need for that." "I am pregnant!" "Huh?" she asked, her eyes growing like saucers "I am having a baby with Pharrell." "Woah Girl you have tied this dude down for good." " Yep. There is no way for an escape now. He is now mine and mine alone." "That's my girl. Very wise." "I guess I am. But I didn't get pregnant on purpose. I think the heavens are on my side." "I want to thank you girl for bringing me here. This shows how much you care about me." "I would do anything for you Lia. You have done unimaginable stuff for me in the past so nothing prevents me from doing the same for you. Let me take you home. You need to rest. I don't want you to put stress on my niece or nephew." We walked outside where Gladys hailed a taxi and gave him our address. She opted to go with me to make sure I would be okay, even though I told her I would be. ************** The car stopped right at the entrance of the apartment I share with Pharrell. I settled the bill before alighting. "Damn! this place is beautiful. Gladys said out in awe. I am not surprised at her reaction because I also wore that expression when I first came here. Nevertheless, this place never ceases to awe me. "Hi Andrew, I am back. Did Pharrell go out?" I asked the security guard who sat at the entrance. whiles making my way inside. "Sorry ma'am but you cannot go inside." "Why can't she? doesn't she live here? Gladys asked as Andrew blocked me from entering "What do you mean Andrew, I live here." "Not anymore Ma'am" "What is going on? Why can't I go into our apartment." "You have no apartment here Ms. Jones" "What are you talking about? I left this place this morning. My fiancé was even here when I went out so I don't get what you are trying to say. Okay let me speak With Mr. Smith." "Pardon me, I can't because he is not here. Didn't he tell you?" he asked making me more confused "Tell me what? You are not speaking clearly." "Didn't he tell you that his stay here was just for three months and that it ended yesterday?" "Liar! You are lying. Pharrell owns this apartment." "No he doesn't. He rented this place for just three months. He left this morning and I even thought he had told you because he made his driver take his things away including yours. I am sorry if there is any misunderstanding here but believe me. I am telling you the truth." "NO! This is not true, Pharrell wouldn't leave without telling me and he told me that this place belongs to him." "That's what he told you, but it's not true." "Don't you get it? Pharrell will never lie to me. So you are the one lying to me here. Now get out my way so I go inside. I need to prepare dinner." I tried pushing him out of my way, but he wouldn't budge. "Get out of my f*****g way Andrew!" I shouted, getting irritated with his jokes. "Stop joking and let me go inside. I am very tired and would need my rest. And like I said earlier, I have dinner to prepare." "I can not let you in. Why don't you try calling Mr. Smith." "Yes that is what I am about to do. I am going to call him and let him know how you are preventing me from entering into our apartment. You know what he can do." I took out my phone and dialed Pharrell's number. But after several rings, there was no answer. I tried calling the second time but this time, it was cut on the second ring. I called the third time but I was told the number is switched off. Anxiety crept in when his other contact numbers didn't go through as well. I sent him a text on w******p but he didn't reply even though it showed he was online. I called him this time on w******p but it was cut short as well. Moments later, I couldn't see his profile picture or his online status. Fear gripped me as I realized he has blocked me. The pain alone from this moment could have made me miscarried but that was the last thing on my mind. "What is it Lia?" Gladys asked worriedly as the tears flowed down my cheeks "Pharrell, He is not answering." "Are you sure? Let me try with my phone." I gave her his contact but he didn't answer when she called. "Maybe he is busy. Let's go to my place for now. We will try calling him later." Pharrell's POV "Sir your jet is ready to leave. We leave in thirty minutes." "Good. We have to be there before the meeting with Alphonso. Have you packed everything into the jet?" I asked Theo, my driver, making sure he has taken everything from the car. "Yes sir, I have." "What about the lady's. Have you dropped them where I told you to?" "Yes sir but they said she doesn't work there anymore. It seems Caroline fired her." "That's her problem. Go and park the car in the garage. We only have less than half an hour to go." He left to to do as I ordered and returned five minutes later since the garage was just around the corner. "Sir it is done." "Great let's go." My phone started ringing but I ignored it seeing who it was. I am sure by now she has gotten to know the truth. The call came in the second time but I ignored it as soon as it started ringing. I knew as naïve as she is she wouldn't stop calling until I have spoken with her so I blacklisted her number before switching the phone off. I did that to my other phones leaving the one I frequently use for w******p. I didn't switch that phone off but I blocked her when she sent me a message and started calling me on w******p. I hope she understands that I just used her for my satisfaction. That girl is so dumb and couldn't even see through my lies. But seriously, banging her was fun and I would have wished to make her my mistress but she is too dull and weak. I love my women complicated and she isn't one. She agrees to whatever I tell her and she doesn't oppose me when she doesn't even agree with me. She makes everything so easy for me which is sometimes boring. And her manners are horrible. She attacks food as if she hasn't had anything to eat for a year. Her fashion sense is zero. I mean there are so my things that are wrong with her. And she really thought I would marry her? Marry? She believed I will marry her? an illiterate? I just hope she learns her lessons. I evilly smirk, proud of fooling a fool. Bringing my mind to my present situation, Theo and I made the short distance to my private jet. "We are about to set off. Please put on your seat belts."
