Chapter 6 getting ready

Later that night she couldn't sleep, so she cut the tv on and started watching Animal Planet. It was a cute show about puppies and kittens and other sorts of animals. When the show was over she was finally getting tired when she heard a howl outside. " oh my friend is back, she got up and opened the front door, she was surprised he was already on her porch, 

"You rest well, big guy, '' she smiled softly at him. She wondered why he picked her to guard and stay the night, but she didn't mind, she thought to herself. I wonder if she will see him after work tomorrow, if she does. I'll give him something to eat. She looked into his eyes. Those eyes seemed so familiar, the wolf had the bluest eyes, the same color as Lance has, she shook her head

 " sleep well big guy, i'm going to sleep" she closed the door and went to bed, 

                The next morning, 

                   Laura pov

I got up early. I wanted to head to town to see if I could find a bookstore. I always loved to read. So I showered, dried off and got dressed. When I opened the door I didn't see the wolf, he's probably out hunting or with his family. I got up in my jeep and drove off to the thirty minute drive to town, when I finally got there. I saw an old book store. Called the old readers, first i thought it was for people that needed glasses, but when i got closer, i realize it was actually a old book store, so I went inside, there were so many books around, a few caught my eye, the man at the counter watched me as i gathered books in my arms, 

"Mrs i have a box here if you want to put the books inside of it"  i softly smiled telling him " " thank you, thats a big help" i grabbed a few more and i was done, the total for all the books were only fifty dollars, 

"Wow, thank you" the man smiled, saying" your welcome, these are old books now, take real good care of them."

"Yes sir, i sure will '' I left that shop with a box full of books,  I'll be getting my reading on after work tonight. When she got home she decided she would take a nap, she laid down, set her alarm for seven pm and took a nap. When her alarm went off she got up, took her shower, dried off and started to get dressed, this time with a hot pink skirt and a shirt to match, she put on her matching knee high boots, she did her hair in a high bun, put some makeup on and she was good to go, 

She wanted to get there a little early so she could help set up. When she opened her door, Lance was about to knock on it, she jumped back in surprise. 

She jokingly said "are you stalking me" she saw him smirk, 

"Only if you want me to?" They both laughed, I thought I would head up to the club with you, if you don't mind, we could get to know each other more, i promise I won't try anything, I'll leave my car here and once you're back home. I'll hop in mine and head home." 

"Well that sounds like a good plan, come on and hop inside, I want to get there early so I can help set up" her hand softly brushes his arm, and she felt the tingles going up and down her body, she was thinking to herself, "what the hell was that," but she knew what that meant, they were mates, but she wasn't ready yet, she needed to settle down in the house first and then she will decide what she actually wants
