Chapter 1
Rachel sat panicking as she swept a look across the entire row, she was sitting in. She exhaled a heavy breath. Another group of four large built men holding posters, beers and roots in their hands passed by her. Her gaze fell on the poster they held with blue words outlined by black that read “Kevin The Killer” she gulped a little nervously.
Being someone with a simple job of nutritionist, Rachel John was a non-violent, painless, free living girl. Her twenty-four years of age had brought her to stand on her own, afford a two-bedroom apartment in a pleasant and safe street in New York. She was dreading each and every moment that she was spending sitting in the front row of the whole stadium which was eccentrically circling with audience filled rows towards the wrestling ring, that had the three tight red ropes going on all of its four sides of the equal square.
Rachel’s eyes were squinting shut as she hugged herself, watching right in front of her the two large bald bearded men brutally beating one small guy, one of the large guys; crushing his neck between their arms while one of the other punching him repeatedly in the guts.
The moment Kevin invited Rachel to his wrestling night she knew she was going to regret it. Kevin Steele or more commonly known as “Kevin the Killer”, was one of the most famous wrestlers of Combat Fighting Championship, commonly known as CFC. He was a current champion and former three times winner, the only person who was able to defeat him was some Russian who also cheated while locking Kevin in a Combat.
But that wasn’t even Rachel’s concern, that how many titles did Kevin held or not. She dreaded that among many of the other guys she went on dates with; Kevin was going to be just like them. Not the “one”. He was a wrestler, violent and uncontrollable. The thing she loathed the most on the planet face of earth. Violence and war; that forced her to lose her family and live her life as an orphan.
Being an orphan, she grew up with an aunt in Vermont, which was nothing but practically looking after her own self, doing all the house chores, getting scolded by her aunt and her drunk husband Paul, living in the basement even though they had a spare bedroom and always getting degraded by her cousin Monica. She had the typical Cinderella story except for the fact that she didn’t had any prince charming and she rescued her own self after finally leaving her aunt and getting into an all-girls catholic boarding school with a scholarship when she was thirteen. The worst part for Rachel was seeing all the girls go to their homes on holidays and vacations when their parents would come to pick them up, she would just sit silently in her dorm and later spend the holidays with one of the nuns of the churches. They all even had turns at who would get Rachel for the holidays. She was closer to the sisters of Saint Mary than any other girl on her school, which made her lack the factor of friendship in her life. Moreover, the sisters always thought her the lesson of peace, making violence the most negative and rat-able thing in her life.
Going to college as a virgin was no surprise in Rachel’s condition but her focus staggered only on studies and making something big and good for her. So when she got a license to practice as a clinician and got her own clinic, she worked hard to establish her name among the top nutritionist of New York and finally earned herself her success but as she reached the top, a feeling of emptiness changed her life. The truth that she was twenty-four and still a virgin, the truth that she needed someone to share the success of her life, have someone by her side that she would have children with. But that someone needed to be as far away from violence as possible.
Rachel felt desperate searching for the right guy, but every guy that she met only wanted to have s*x with her and dump her right away.Nobody could blame them either, what they saw in front of them was absolute beauty. She had a petite figure, glossy hazel (honey dripping) eyes that sparkled like crystals against bright lights, her sharp cute attractive jaw line and pointed nose, added to her beauty alongside her high fleeked cheekbones. She wasn’t necessarily tall but her 5feet and 6, complimented her lean figure. Her dark hair only enhanced the color of her eyes. She even once dyed them blonde on her best friend’s demand but she immediately de-ammonified them because she loved the original hair of her color.
She waited for a longtime saving her virginity and she wasn’t going to throw it right away. She went on dates, with some guys that her friends fixed her up with or some of her own clients. Among all; Kevin felt different. He came to her under the category of a sportsman and she thought that he was some basketball player. But when she actually went out with him; he told her that he’s a wrestler and the champion of the world’s biggest and most lethal form of wrestling. He invited her to his game to let her see what he was taking about.
And the mere sight of violence made Rachel shrill again ass he sat in front of the huge square ring where Kevin the Killer punched the guy in front of him and blood went flying out of his nose and mouth. Rachel felt nauseous at the sight of all that blood scattered everywhere. People around her started chanting and yelling out loud. All were huge guys who held beer cans in their hands, breaking the bottles and denting the tin cans in their hands as they yelled with excitement every time Kevin punched the poor half unconscious guy.
“Kill him Off!”
People all around the arena yelled at Kevin.
Jeez! What is wrong with these people! Rachel thought to herself. She was just glad that she didn’t wear any dress and simply wore a button down and some casual jeans. Kevin threw another punch at the poor limp body and picked him up over his shoulders, dragging him near the ropes. Anticipating the worse, Rachel’s whole body shrilled with cringe and anxiety at the violent sight. She squinted her eyes shut tightly wishing that once she opens them she is teleported to another peaceful dimension. But only to her dismay the loud voice of a solid surface breaking, the commentators yelling and the entire crowd hooting made her open her eyes as she saw the poor limp body laying down on the broken tables in front of the commentators who had their faces covered with shock yelling, “How could he?” and “He didn’t just!”
Kevin turned towards the crowd, apprehending them to hoot even louder for him, jumping from one corner of the ring on another and finally stopped in front of the one where Rachel sat. He winked at her, throwing her off the flying kiss with two fingers as the camera caught the direction flying towards the only girl in the crowd.
Rachel hid her face away underneath her hands, wishing that nobody caught the sight of her face but as soon as she removed it she saw her face from an earlier shot plastered over on the huge LED screen placed over the main entrance towards the arena.
This is my worst nightmare! Rachel complained in her mind. She had already decided on breaking up with Kevin and the whole incident was just going to make it more difficult and awkward on her behalf.

The Plaza restaurant at the top of the Plaza Hotel &Casinos, was one of the most expensive and exclusive places in Manhattan. The bottom to top, glass ceilings, forming a globe shape at the roof, with solid golden colored copper rods supporting the structure made it uniquely beautiful. The circular running benches with one side covered with private booths while the other side having open connected sofa benches, formed a central position for the chairs and tables to be placed in a decorative manner.
Rachel’s gaze was stuck sharply at the ascending stairs that marked its railing up till the one third of the room’s space. She sat, wearing a simple sleeveless blue dress that ended up till her mid thighs, at the two seaters table right in front of the stairs. She looked around and saw happy couples, business colleagues and families enjoying a good Saturday night. She was still having second thoughts about fleeing the situation. She wanted to go to Kevin’s house and break up with him but was rendered helpless when she called him and he asked her to join him for a dinner at The Plaza. She knew how difficult it is to get a booking at the restaurant and now she even felt worse for breaking up with him after he had put so much effort in getting them both a place booked. Her anxiety rose up by two folds when she saw the similar figure walking towards her in a grey suit.
He walked up to her with confidence, owning the place. His confidence was the first thing that had caught Rachel’s attention at first place. He had a tall and built up structure with blonde hair and blue eyes, his face covered sharply in a smitten beard. He missed on the top buttons of his shirt, grabbing a few eyes from ladies around the room. He smiled towards Rachel, taking her look in, roaming his eyes up and down her sleekly curved body. There was no doubt to Rachel’s beauty as well. She had a proportioned figure with curvy hips and C cup breasts, which looked temptingly large on her petite figure. Kevin rested his eyes on her breasts for a moment that Rachel caught the sight of shifted slightly making his eyes shift to her face.
He threw her his famous James Dean smile. “I hope you didn’t have to wait for too long?”
She slightly shook her head with a weak smile, “No, I came in a bit earlier.” She told him truthfully hoping to confess the rest of the truth for the night being as well.
But maybe I don’t need to do it tonight? Maybe it can wait. Besides he is a nice guy. Good looking, caring. He cared to ask me if I ordered anything or not.
Rachel’s mind battled having second thoughts.
“So why haven’t you ordered anything? Didn’t the waiter come to take your orders?”, He fumed with anger turning towards the stairs ready to call in the manager.
This anger! The attitude and carelessness towards violence was exactly what makes me turn over on my heels on a great guy like Kevin.
“Kevin, No its fine. They did come in.” she stopped him from creating a scene, “In fact I didn’t want to order.” She bit down her lower lip, breathing in slowly from her nostrils ready to officiate the process of finally dumping him as she settled her brain on to it.
“Okay, so let’s order now.” He shrugged signaling at the waiter.
“Kevin, actually there is something that I want to talk to you about.” She suggested as he began reading through his menu card.
“What is it?” he asked her still looking down at the menu.
His egocentric and self-absorbed attitude is another reason to break up with him tonight.
The waiter came in standing straight with his hands behind his back, “How may I serve you?”
“I didn’t ask you to speak.” Kevin rudely spat at the poor waiter. “Why aren’t you gonna order anything? Or do you want me to order for you?”. He questioned Rachel.
The waiter looked down at her and even he knitted his eyebrows together at her distressed condition but Kevin couldn’t have seen beyond himself. All of these just gave Rachel a good amount of reasons to look past her guilt.
“I’m not ordering anything.” Rachel sternly spoke to Kevin,as he looked at her, keeping down his menu card.
“Why? Don’t they have anything healthy?” He smirked, mocking Rachel, annoying her even more than ever.
She hated it when people thought of profession as the one with grass eaters. She herself indulged on junk foods despite of knowing the harmful effects. Everything that Kevin was doing was just proving him to be more and more distasteful to Rachel.
“No! and I could care less about this place. I’m not ordering because I am not eating dinner with you, because I am breaking up with you.”
Like ripping the bandage, she spat it out on his face. His expressions turned sour as soon as he heard her.
“WHAT?” he shrieked out loud grabbing everyone’s attention, making Rachel look around in disbelief.
“I think I’ll come back.” The waiter excused himself from the worst case scenario, he might have ever witnessed.
“How can you break up with me?” He asked, his manly ego hurt till it’s core.
The worst he could think of was about the fact that he went to all the links to book place in The Plaza and he didn’t even get laid.
“Like this.” Rachel shrugged at him, picking up her clutch from the table.
He grabbed her hand making her stop. She freed her hand from his strong grip and she could see his jaw clenched tight.
“Any girl would’ve threw my zipper down and sucked my c**k if I had given her this much. I never did this for any other girl and who the f**k do you think you are?”
Rachel didn’t feel offended at his rude behavior, she somehow expected men’s outburst after she refuses to see them anymore.
“Kevin, I am not asking for more or saying that it’s not enough. I just don’t want to see you anymore. Isn’t that understandable? You’re too violent and angry for me.”
“What the f**k does that even mean?” he shrieked out loud again making people give them stinky eyes.
“Kevin, you’re a way too violent, self-absorbed and ferocious berserk and I seriously don’t want any of that. I am not asking you to change for me because I don’t have any right to that. So you just stay as you are and umm. . .Good luck.” She simple told him back.
“Are you a f*****g Lesbian?”
She rolled her eyes irritated at his indolence and ignorant behavior. She simple shock her head, picking up her bag and climbing down the stairs, reaching for the elevator and walking out.
She hated violence, fights, blood thirst, gangs, mafia, wars or anything that caused disturbance in natural peace of life. She had her own set of reasons and there was no way she was ever going to be with someone who was violent and worshiped disturbia. As she strongly believed that;
Violence turns a man cold hearted and a cold heart is not capable of love it only makes people suffer.
