Brooklynne's POV:
It's now Saturday and it's been almost a week since I saw Mr. Hawkins. Either he is getting home after I am asleep and leaving before I get up or he just isn't coming home at all. I haven't heard from Harrison either like I had hoped so I could talk to him about me living somewhere else but I don't have his number.
I've called Shelly every day now to talk to her. We talk for hours each time. I guess she has a boyfriend now. Some Travis she met at that end of the school year party at that house. She wishes I could meet him so I told her maybe one of these days she can come up here. It will have to wait till I find a different place to live though. I doubt it would be a good idea to invite anyone here. They'd probably get shot in the head as soon as they walked
