I buried her myself in the territory where I left the baby, since we were pretty close to there anyway. That was when I came up with this incredibly stupid idea of leaving the baby with a pack that I knew would contact the red-eyes. I had carefully done my research into both packs before even considering them. They were a small pack.
I couldn’t imagine them taking her for themselves. Not with the reputation that red-eyes had around the world. I hoped they would do what I thought they would do, and I was relieved when they did.
