I woke up feeling happy but nervous. My cupboard was suddenly filled with clothes other than my uniforms and I almost wished I could put on some of them for work. I showered and changed into my uniform and met Susan for breakfast. Jeremy joined us moments later and frowned when he looked at me.
“Why are you dressed like that?” He frowned, making me frown.
“It’s my uniform. I need it to work in.” I felt a little weird to have to defend my clothes.
“Not anymore. That is why we got you new clothes. Come on.” Jeremy got up and held out his hand. I took it gaping at him as he led me out of the dining room. All eyes were on us and I realized that the food was going to get cold while I changed!
