I’ve thought about Riley every single day since she left. Not that I wanted to. My wolf just kept bringing her up as though she was the one that got away! I heard the news when she and alpha Jeremy were mated, and it hurt, but just a little. Only because my wolf was still pining for her. I also heard about his tragic accident and that he had died, and it sparked hope that I didn’t want, but my wolf hoped.
Seeing the incredibly beautiful and clearly intelligent woman in the meeting was what I didn’t expect! All the old feelings came rushing back which I didn’t understand. I had rejected her!
