I wasn’t surprised to see Caleb’s name on the list of five alphas. It kind of made me wonder how things would have turned out if he hadn’t rejected me, but I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind. I really didn’t want to think about that time of my life. I knew I would have to face it at some point, but I was going to try to avoid it for as long as possible.
