I had never been as nervous about anything in my entire life as I was about welcoming Jack to my home. It was all my family’s fault. If they just let me be myself, nausea wouldn’t have been threatening to ruin the entire day. I checked my reflection in the mirror and I didn’t look anything like myself. For one, I was wearing a damn summer dress which was the only one I owned.
My hair was also tied back into a single ponytail, which was something I would never have done since I liked different styles. I loved braiding the purple strand of hair and tying my hair in a bunch of different places. With the single ponytail, my perfect purple strand of hair was almost hidden. At least, I got to pick out my sandals!
