It was simply incredible to see the two young people find their way. I knew they wouldn’t have the best of starts. Their circumstances were incredibly taxing, and I wasn’t sure if I had been able to handle it as well as they did. I was so proud of both of them! Now, all I could do was hope they found their way and that I would soon have a grand baby to play with.

David’s entire family was very welcoming, and the pack seemed happy to have me there. Everyone was far more welcoming than I thought they would be. I was basically an outsider coming in, and they accepted me with open arms. It was a nice change to how things worked in my parents’ pack. There I was just the outsider.
