November 16th Jim hired a lawyer. A “Collaborative Family Lawyer,” but still. That was fast. Barely a month has gone by since Bonnie left him. I think Bonnie’s a little fazed by the speed at which proceedings are... well... proceeding. She hasn’t told me this, but it stands to reason. When you ask someone for a divorce, there’s going to be a part of you that hopes the other person will be like: No! Don’t leave me! I love you! We can work it out. Jim’s reaction was more like: You want a divorce? Cool, bye! That must be hard for Bonnie. Everybody needs to be needed, and I don’t think she will ever realize how very much I need her.
