Zephyra was out of breath, her fear and the scene which she saw a couple of seconds ago overwhelmed her.
“Who died?” The middle-aged lady urged her to give her answers and looked behind her. ‘Talk to me.’
“PLEASE CALL THE COPS.” Zephyra shouted.
This was not the time to ask questions.
The lady obeyed immediately and began calling the cops. “Hello, 911, this is from a…”
BOOM!!
Zephyra’s house, including her quarters, bursted out in shades of red fire.
A black tornado came out of nowhere, slamming her back on a car with a loud thud.
The car crashed and almost split in half.
Zephyra groaned in pain and forced her blurry eyes open, but they kept getting blurrier every second and she could hear voices.
Clueless of what went on after a couple of hours after she passed out, two young men sneaked her out of the hospital in the middle of the night.
‘Do we have to do this? Can’t we just abandon her and report to the realms that she died?’
Someone above her face whispers fiercely, clearly tired of carrying her and just wants to go back to the realms.
“No, we can’t do that. They will find out she's alive anyway. It's no use lying. The realms need her and quit complaining,” the second man whispered back and moved the trolleys towards the first man.
The other rolled his glowing gold eyes in annoyance at Donovan and mind-linked him.

“Take her into the van, quick.” Donovan cuts off the mind link and proceeds to his job.
Both of their eyes stopped glowing and returned to normal.
Zephyra heard a calm voice, whispering to someone. She knew she was lying on a bed and felt herself moving towards a dark place.
Where was she? Why can’t she open her eyes and see who was taking her?
Was she being kidnapped? Why, her body feels paralyzed.
What did they do to her? She couldn’t think properly. Her brain was in a daze, making it difficult to perceive what was happening and eventually drifting off to sleep.
Zephyra woke up in an enormous luxurious room made of gold and blue colors, with bright lights all over the place.
It was designed for the royals.
She quickly got up from the bed.
“Where am I?” she muttered, looking through the window.
This wasn’t her neighborhood. She turned away from the window.
This wasn’t her house.
Where was she?
She left the window and hurried towards the door for it to open, and it did.
She then came out of the room, seeing herself in a beautiful hallway.
She walked over and saw a beautiful lady coming up to her.
“You are awake, Aithusa.” She beamed and politely bowed before her. “Good morning, m’lady.”
“My lady,” she whispered. “Who are you?” She questioned and surveyed her surroundings and saw a bunch of maids following her.
“My name doesn’t matter, M’lady; I’m here to assist you in taking your bath; eat and have a good rest.”
“I don’t understand. I mean, where is this place?”
“Can we do all that first before I explain everything to you, m’lady?”
Zephyra replied with a nod.
For unknown reasons, the place looks familiar. Why does she feel like she has been here before?
Why is she listening to this stranger?
She motionlessly followed the young girl into the room as the maids took off her clothes.
They led her into the magnificent bathroom, which was as wide as a ballroom, and soaked her body in a bathtub with red petals.
And sprinkled lots of perfume on her toned, ravishing body.
They were all done and led her out of the bathroom to dress her up in a beautiful gold sleeveless gown, polish her nails, and adorn her body from her head to her toe.
Zephyra didn’t know what else to say; all she knew was that she wasn’t supposed to be here.
She regretted going back to the room with these maids.
She had no clue where she even was or who these people were.
Who brought her here? Was she kidnapped?
Come to think of it, what happened to Ethan and her father, who was coming to see her too?
Her eyes widened.
In the time of magic and stability, the Oracle birthed dragons to dominate the world.
They were immortal. How they grow and manifest their powers is determined by the oracle.
If misused in any sort of way, the consequences will be severe. People will perish and turn into dust.
The consequences of being an outcast, killed or banished from the realms for refusing to accept the rules of the dragons.
Hades of fire and the waters are cold as ice are enemies.
Fire and ice don’t blend, no matter how the world crumbles on its feet and how it shakes and vibrates in every corner of the earth.
There is no light without darkness. Darkness can not exist without light.
This is a worth-it issue, and its nemesis be damned.
The leader of the clan always preached those words to the people, to teach them about dragons and who they truly were in the realms.
The bloodline of dragons is a powerful mechanism; destined to rule all creatures and pull them against their will.
Kings didn’t make themselves kings; dragons did after the oracle put them in charge, to rule the world as they pleased with their immense power.
Dragons are intelligent creatures.
They are powerful. They can produce spiritual powers, and they are so large they could cover a house; they could fly and breathe fire out of their mouth, leading to destruction.
Swords, arrows, or other weaponry can not easily pierce their hard scales.
Dragons also have deadly poisons in their teeth and claws and can mark their mate to breed their offspring.
The top clans, after the dragons who were more powerful, were the vampires, the lycans, and the werewolves.
The vampires lived thousands of years ago, holding the red stone to maintain their power and empower themselves.
With the red stone, they could live thousands of years, or even more, and be as powerful as a god like the dragons.
Seeing how stronger they were, the dragons, lycans, and werewolves were against it.
Not wanting a vampire to take over and rule them, they fought for hundreds of years, killing and wiping each other out.
