Zoey stopped in her tracks and couldn’t believe what she just heard. Who would be so damned stupid to reject someone as beautiful and powerful as Rose? So she most likely is just confused and didn't understand correctly what Rose had said so coming back to her senses, Zoey walks to Rose and says.
“It’s fine if you rejected him. Most likely he was a scoundrel!” but Rose’s eyes fill with tears and shakes her head.
