Chapter 7Sandy walked through Thaddeus’ home. It was a two-room apartment on the ground floor with a small patio right outside the living room. The walls were a soft green, the windowsill was filled with cats, skulls, pumpkins, and other meaningless crap, though he guessed it was in honor of Halloween and not how it looked on a normal day. Apart from the tacky decorations, it was nice. He didn’t like the security risk of Thaddeus living there, though. Anyone could break in through the flimsy patio door, anyone could keep track of what he was up to by looking through the windows. “Have you considered moving?” The apartment buildings formed a U around a lawn with three large maple trees in the middle.
