(Completed)

Aiden was staring at my eyes with shock and I knew that my unusual violet eyes would be glowing right now just as the prophecy says:

Born as a human,

Raised with the wolves,

Eyes glowing violet,

She who walks in the fire,

Flies as the wind.

She is the past, present and the future

From her broken heart,

Comes the sparks of power..

Born will be the legend,

With power so mighty,

She who knows the fate of all,

THE ORACLE

“The Oracle..” Aiden gasped.

Just before I vanished into the Portal , I touched his hands in farewell.

As tingles erupted from our fingertips, he realized what I had always known.

“Mate?” he choked out in disbelief.

“Goodbye ,mate!” I whispered .He tried to pull me back. But it was too late and darkness engulfed me.

PROLOGUE
Synthia's POV I looked at the jungle beyond the pack training grounds. There was no wind in the calm weather. The pack fighters were sweating profusely after the intense workout they had under the Alpha’s orders. I gazed mesmerized around me... my pack, my family as I had ever known. I heard an annoyed sigh beyond me and turned to see the Alpha glaring at me with impatience. “Synthia, you said that you had something important to talk to me and now you are wasting time staring off into space? As you already know, I am the Alpha and my time is valuable. Now, if you have nothing to say, I have to complete the paper works for the warriors transferring from the blue moon territory,” the Alpha said with irritation. I looked at my Alpha, my husband. "Aiden, I have always loved you, even as a child. But for you, my love is nothing but a hindrance in finding your true mate. You were forced to marry me but yearns for your true mate. You don’t want to be shackled with a pathetic human wife. For two years, I waited for you to change your mind and realize that I am a good wife for you... I did everything I thought would gain your attention, but no, you see me as if I am a mere piece of furniture in your household," I said calmly. I sighed as I saw his indifferent attitude. It never changed... "I don’t want you to tie you up with this facade of a marriage anymore. I am setting you free, Alpha," I said. He looked at me with confusion and hope, which hurt me. No, not any more... I wouldn’t let him affect me anymore. It was time to let go. “Aiden, from this moment onward, I am no longer your forced mate. You are a free man, you can search for your true mate, find a girlfriend or just enjoy being a bachelor for a while... anything you want. I wouldn’t be here to disturb you,” I said with determination. He didn’t look as if he believed me. After all, I was the human orphan found and raised in the pack. Where would I go? By this time, the entire pack was crowded nearby, sensing that there was something going on between their Alpha and Luna. I looked around. There were my friends, family, and even enemies… I would miss each and everyone of them. There was a gentle breeze blowing my hair around my face. Aiden was still standing silently. No shock, no pleading for me to stay or not even just plain happiness at being free finally. The same old indifference again. I sighed. It was time to go. I turned to face the pack members. “Thanks for taking me in when I was abandoned. Thanks for being a family for me, even when I was just a human child in this supernatural community. Thank you, everyone!” I said gratefully. I glanced at my parents, who were looking at me with bewilderment.  "Dad, Mom.. I love you both. You are the best parents I could have ever had; you never made me feel that I am an orphan. You wanted my every wish to be fulfilled and even got me to marry the one whom I love, but sadly it didn’t work out. I am sorry for letting you down, but I promise that I would come back for you and be a better daughter to you... For now, goodbye..." I smiled sadly at the elder alpha couple, Aiden’s parents, who were like another set of parents to me. I turned to see Sophie standing near Jared and Dominic. I would miss my best friend and my brothers. I looked into Sophie's eyes, which were already filled with tears. In her eyes, there was a calm acceptance and trust instead of the confusion in all others. She knew that I had my reason and whatever it was; she trusted that it was for the best. I promised in my mind that I would be back and at that time, I will not let anything come between our bond any more.  I nodded at her, and she nodded back with a small sad smile on her beloved face. We never needed words anyway. By now, the wind was blowing furiously. The sand began flying from the training ground we were standing at. Slowly, a vortex began forming in front of me. People scattered away, seeing the vortex gaining speed. There were murmurs of confusion regarding the sudden vortex in such a calm weather. "A Portal!" an elder finally gasped out. It was indeed a portal, a legend. Portals were the gates of supernatural community. Portals could be opened only by powerful covens of witches after certain ceremonies and could be done only from eight gates all over the world to another gate following a path. There were only a few individuals who were able to open a gate alone in all the centuries, and there were only two such individuals alive in this time. But in all of history, there was never a being capable of opening a portal from the real dimension from right where they were standing without a gate or any ceremonies, just as I had done right now. Aiden was staring at me shocked, finally showing an emotion. He was staring at my eyes and I knew that my unusual violet eyes would be glowing right now, just as the prophecy says, Born as a human, Raised with the wolves, Eyes glowing violet, She who walks in the fire, Flies as the wind, She is the past, present and the future… From her broken heart, Comes the sparks of power.. Born will be the legend, With power so mighty, She who knows the fate of all, THE ORACLE! This prophecy was known to every supernatural being from childhood and was sung to kids by mothers just like 'twinkle twinkle little star’  in the human world. It was thought to be a myth. “The Oracle...” Aiden gasped out in disbelief. Not just a human after all, Aiden! Being the all powerful Oracle, I still couldn’t gain the love of my husband. Just before I vanished into the portal completely, I touched his hands in farewell. And there went the second and the most important shock to Aiden as tingles erupted from our fingertips and he realized what I had always known. If only he had touched his own wife at least once in the past month after my twenty-first birthday... Werewolves could recognize their mates after both of them turn eighteen and this applied for the rare cases where wolves had humans as mates. But for me, the mate bond formed fully after my twenty-first birthday. So he never thought that the wife he didn’t want could be the soulmate he wanted to cherish. Ironically, he pushed away his own mate so that he could search for his mate, and now he shall have his wish if he wanted to find her. He could search all over the world. It may seem vindictive of me to leave him right after he found out that I was his mate, but I never claimed to be an angel. He never gave me at least a fraction of the love I had for him and even though I believed in the Moon Goddess and fated mates, I believed in love too and he crushed it with his aloof attitude towards me. I, who was supposed  to know the fates of everyone, didn’t know my own fate. What a joke! “Mate...,” he choked out. “Goodbye, mate!” I whispered, and he reached out his hands to push me back from the portal. But it was too late...  “Nooooooo!!” he screamed, just before I was pulled into the darkness. Hello world, here comes the Oracle!
