I finished getting ready as Matthew checked on me. He zipped up the back of my dress as I fixed my earring. I slid my feet into my dress shoes as we hurried out of the bedroom. I’m glad the weather was warm because snow and heels don’t mix.
Matthew drove to the chapel and parked, then we got out, hurrying inside as his parents greeted us.
“What took you so long? The wedding is starting,” Lyric said.
