Chapter 21

Trenton

I huff painfully as I move away when a zombie of a woman suddenly throw herself at me.

It would be totally hilarious if I say that even a dead woman can't resist my charm but that would be so stupid to say, seeing that they are basically wanted to kill us.

I look at Zainn again while he blankly looks back at me. His eyes is bloody red and looks lifeless. What happened to him? What did Selena had done to him?

I gave Selena a glare when she caught my eyes. But she just smirk at me as she wrap her arms around my mate letting a low growl escape from my mouth.

"Just let it go for now, we still need to stop this stupid bastards in totally killing us." Deathon grumbles.

"Yeah, because as I see it we will turn into Zombies too if they ever succeed in tearing us apart!" Kim exclaim as he whip his string made alloy angrily, cutting a lot of zombies around us.

"Not totally cool Kim! I'm so handsome just to be a zombie!" Nico screeched as he snap his hands on his side making the zombies convulse and burst.

"Can you guys be quiet there is still a lot of them you know! Just destroy them as many as you can!" Rafael snap angrily.

"Go run!" Chester hollered loudly as a path begin to open on their back then he shift and begin to plow his body at the zombies.

"Do you think I would let you escape that easily??!" Selena suddenly state darkly as she appear right in front of us, with Zainn beside of him.

"There is nothing wrong in wishing.." Rafael chirp with raise brows.

"I guess its still enough to broke you huh, Rafael. Well, you are not feared for nothing.." She said clearly annoyed. "But how will you fare if My Darling will be your opponent then.."

We didn't even finish processing what she said when we all drop to the ground as loud yelp and cry from pain escape from us. While we look at Zainn with fear-filled eyes as he saunter toward us, completely void of emotions.

Rafael

Never in my life as a vampire when I felt this kind of pain. As my insides begin to burn, slowly licking every part of my body. My bones crack and shattered while it mend again just to break again and mend again, then break and mend again. A repeating cycle of torture.

With gritted teeth I fuel my veins with my magic letting the blood in my body pump out the dark spell casted upon me. After a while, I pant hard but the pain is no more while I can still hear the others as they yell from so much pain.

But my eyes grew wide when I saw Trenton hanging in the air, as Selena hover in front of him.

"No!" I scream loudly as magic pours out of me uncontrollably making Zainn look at me strangely.

His eyes begin to falter as it slowly turn purple but it become red again. But he slowly tremble when tears slowly falls from his eyes, as it become purple again.

His long black hair start to change back to its silvery blonde color. He roam his eyes around but when he glance towards Trenton, his eyes widen but after a second anger stretch on his face making his eyes glow.

"Don't touch him!" He growl loudly.

His voice is so powerful as it vibrates through the air, snapping the zombies on their places as they grow still. But then they begin to walk towards Selena with heavy pace. Completely ignoring us.

"Danielle what are you doing, stop this!" Selena suddenly said as she drop Trenton's unconscious body but he didn't completely fall us a group of zombie catch him and hurriedly bring him in front of Zainn.

"No! Let me go!!" Selena yelp as one of the zombie bite her ears completely detaching the flesh away from her body. The blood seems to fuel them more as they begin to advance their steps towards her.

"Trenton, please wake up!" Zainn cry as he shake Trenton forcefully. "Please baby, no!"

I felt my blood run cold when Trenton become more limp in my arms.

Its all surreal.

My mind is in deep haze before as my body move on its own. Any memory of my past were gone as I watch every moment passed on my eyes.

If its not because of Rafael's voice I might still locked inside of my head lost in the darkness.

I regret everything I've done, even though its basically not me. I felt the guilt and shame radiates from me, as I look how disheveled the others are.

"Its not your fault Zainn, okay." Chester heave painfully as he wipes the sweat formed on his forehead.

"But..." I stutter.

"Don't! Just don't, we are not gonna blame you for something you didn't want to do. And like us you are just a victim too. So please Zainn don't be hard with yourself, my brother needs us all. Especially now that he's like this." Deathon said.

I nod my head at him, letting my mouth snap shut as I drown any protest I wanted to say to him.

"Its not done, you dimwit bastards! As long as I'm alive, I'm going to fight with every fibre of my being.." Selena sneered as she wobble toward us. She is all bloody and a total mess. Cuts and bruises adorned her face, there's even a long gash on her stomach. She might look pitiful but I don't feel anything other than resentment and anger toward us.

I don't know what fueled it, but the anger burned me inside as it started to pour out of my pores.

The wind picked up, making my hair tousle uncontrollably. A dark fog form around me, making me shiver.

"No Selena, you are going to die today." A cold shiver run on my back as I heard the voice.

Turning around, I see Lemuelle's transparent body as the fog continue to took his form.

The zombies stop on their steps, as they gaze at him before they bow at him while their body start to crumble and turn to ash. Their ashes blending with the wind leaving nothing behind. The sky slowly cleared up, as the sun start to shows lighting the whole place.

We are all gape at him in awe as he begin to hover at us. As his gaze never stray to Selena.

"Oh my beautiful Danielle!!" She chirp as she stumble on her feet and crawl at him.

"Selena..." He whisper. "As always, you seems to surprise me to no end. First by summoning me in these realm, giving me a human body. Killing my one and only love, and now taking a revenge??!" He spat angrily. We all flinched from his tone, the land slightly shook and the air grew tense. But we remain quiet, as we huddled together watching the events came through.

"You neither have the right to take your revenge on my family nor have any reason to. I am only your demon not your lover, and you knew it more than anyone else. There is nothing between us before and most likely now. And you know what, I am thankful that the God of Hell gave you a demon soul, at least now killing you is more possible and easier than before." He said darkly as his hands twist and for a minute a black sword appear in his hands.

"No Lemuelle! I do love you, and I would do anything for you..." Selena whimper as she start to backs away from her.

I feel my heart clench for her as I begin to feel pity over her. Lemuelle start to stalk her, slowly walking on his own pace. His black sword on his side. Selena stand up but her knees buckled making her fall on her butt.

I close my eyes when he raise his sword above his head and a booming screeched resound all over the place. Then it grow quiet. I slowly open my eyes and I gasp when I saw Selena's head fall in front of us with a soft thud. As Lemuelle's back slouched and he drop the sword while the blood flows on its sharp edge. He tilt his head up in the sky as a lone tear scape from his cheeks.

"Finally, you can have your peace now Asarell..." He whisper to the winds, as though his saying he's prayer.

"...what happened??" A hoarse voice ask beside me. Whipping my head towards him, my eyes water when I saw Trenton's awake form. Throwing my self at him, I hug him tightly on my smaller body. Letting his warmth soothe my trembling nerves.

"Finally bro, your awake! I thought your going to sleep till the end..."

"You know Chester you just ruined the mood!" I snap sassily making them gape at me like I'm crazy or something..

Well maybe, I am but I do not care about that. At least now, Selena is finally dead once and for all..
