I woke up feeling relaxed even though I had alitttle sleep last night . But the fact that I had got another person whom I managed to talk to some one . This is actually something that I really wanted to talk to every time.
I get out of my sleeping bag and have it parked in one corner of the tent. Looking beside the side of my sleeping partner , she is no where to be seen. Checking my phone , it is already 9:00am. I quickly get out of a tent. I find almost all my classmates interacting with each other freely.
Getting everything ready such as bathing and all other personal administration I join the rest for breakfast. We have to have a quiz , a discussion and then a drama and then later in the evening we shall leave and get back to school.
I spot Larry sited all alone seeming like he is just occupied by something on his phone..I at first conflict myself in either to join him or sit some where else. What if I join him and then what if I join him and eventually he acts like he has never seen me or something like that kind.
However deciding , I just move towards Larry but he is still occupied by something on his phone. . However upon getting next to him, he finally looks upon smile forming on his face in the process .
“ Hey " I say sitting next to him in the Grass.
“'Hello" he greets me back tapping on the space beside him which I take getting nearer to him.
“ I was looking for you every where but in vain" he tells me.
“ Me? The fact is I was still sleeping after all the long talk that we had last night.." I reply.
“ I thought you had vanished into thin air " he says sarcastically he two of us laughing .
“ Do you mind if I join you ?" A familiar voice says suddenly from behind me but the truth is I am not even able to look up and see he the hell is there even though I already know.
What does he want ? Amongst all the small groups that the students have formed , what would prompts l him to come and sit next to us plus all the time that I have known Nolan, I don't think asking is something that is found in his DNA. He is used of always getting what he wants and most cases which eand up with himillting others.
“ Of course you can " Larry let's him before I am even able to make a decision but then what would I have to say or do. Nolan sits in that tiny space that is left between the two of us . What the horror! So we have to adjust so that he can get enough space without squeezing any of us. His gesture drawas attention from almost all the students who for sure look shocked , surprised or both by Nolan coming to sit with me.
I don't even know why he is always taken like he Isa god or a super hero who can't be in the presence of other of lowies like me perhaps.
“ So what were you talking about?" Nolan asks his eyes aiming at Larry. This is really unfair, is he here to also intermediate him like he has done to me the last years.
“ Just the usual, trying to catch up " Larry tells him all composed
“ Then I guess I am in the right place I think ?" Nolan says .
“ Definitely " Larry answers him
Before long, Nolan is fully engaged in our conversation . Speaking normally and not at one point trying to attack any of us. I am sorry to say this but he sounds more sensible right now than he has been all the years that I have known him ..I have tried being so keen and For sure I have observed that he has been a bit changed since we got here in the camp.
Apart from how he flirted with me a little as we got into the bus, he has not done any move until one. What the hell is he planning? Perhaps he has something in stock for me and is waiting for that moment when I have totally forgotten everything about all his evil activities and catch me totally off guard when I least expect it to happen.
Still in our talk, we get another person approaching us, Jed. I have no idea how this is happening but people have suddenly gained interest in me..
“ Man, I have looked for you everywhere but I had no idea you were with this-"
“ What do you want?" Nolan interrupts his friend not letting him finish. I wonder what for sure he wanted to say that Nolan didn't want him to spill out for sure .
“ Oh.. forgive me guys I didn't greet you. I was so occupied with this friend of mine who is continuing to-"
“ Just greet and go " Nolan interrupts him once again. Larry and I look at each other surely not getting what is talking place between the two . They have so many things that they are always scheming about but then what is this that they are talking about.
“ Good morning Guys" Jed greets us and then leaves but flashes Nolan a look that for sure leaves me wondering what exactly this guy's are up to. Any way that moment ended and we have to go for the quiz, my favorite part of the trip. This time the teacher gives us the chance to yo get our own group of five. Before I am even able to make up my mind, I already find that I have been grouped.
My group include: Larry, Nia,Jed, Nolan and me. Every thing really is funny more than I expected . The day is so young, I wonder how everything will eventually end . The quiz games go on just llike they have always been. I find myself smiling this time something that is rare for me more so when it has something to do with Nolan. With him you are supposed to expect the worst but for sure this is something that is for sure not happening.
