Friday June 5 Today at school we started semester exams. I have 6 more weeks till I graduate as this year's valid victorian. As well as long as i pass all my semester exams. As I walked in the pack house, mom greeted me and told me to sit down. That she and dad needed to talk to me. dad : Honey it's been 2 weeks since you turned 18. It's time you started looking for your mate. Grace : how I have school. I thought we were going to wait till I graduated. dad: we were. But there have been some complications. mom: honey, I know this a lot also, but you have met all the wolves that are 18 already and there has been no luck, so you have to start traveling. To different packs during the weekends to see if we can find your mate grace: will I be going alone ? dad: no, honey, I will be going with you so there is no disrespect or problems. grace: okay as long as i am not going alone. mom: Ok honey, let's get you an overnight bag packed. Life for me was about to get hectic.  DAD I had hoped that she would have more time to find her mate. But elders need to name a new alpha, since I have no son and she's my only daughter. And my cancer is getting worse. I never thought I would have to step down this early, but life is not fair and she will have to learn that. The doctors give it 1 year to live and I still haven't told my daughter that i have been fighting cancer for the last 2 years. I didn't want to add stress to her plate along with school and helping her mother get better mentally after her grandmother's death.
