Meeting Alpha Zane

That nights event was the Queen's birthday party People from all over would be there. Annalease and the Royal family all were dressed and ready as the nights festivities began. Annalease and Mark were sitting at her table on the stage To ight the people would walk to greet her and give her birthday gifts then take their seats It always started with the Royal family giving her their gifts first and the first one to start was the next in line for the throne. Princess Milani.

"Happy Birthday Mom" Milani said walking up to Annalease as she sat at her table. She handed her mother the gift and then took her seat to the left of her. Next was Little John. He brought his mother a beautiful huge bouquet of different coloured calla lilies that he hand picked from the garden that the two of them had made together. It was their special garden and it was his favorite place. "Happy Birthday Mom" He said kissing her cheek and taking his place beside Mark. Next was Helena Grace. It was her birthday as well. Her party was planned for this upcoming weekend because she wanted to go to Crescent Moon to visit. So they had her party planned for there. Timmy and Mary Beth were next. Mary Beth pushed Timmy in his chair while he held both of their presents for their mom. Timmy gave her the balloons and basket of chocolates along with a voucher for a spa day at her favorite place. Thank you you two" Annalease said popping a piece of chocolate in her mouth and then putting one in Timmy's mouth for him. She knew he would have already gotten a piece had it not been for the cast. That was always his little joke for her. Next was Catherine and Austin. They both handed Annalease two beautifully wrapped gifts complete with bows and ribbon. Both took their spots on each side. Annalease was so proud of the children. They were following customs to a T.

"Happy Birthday Queen Annalease" a man standing in front of the queen said as he handed her a gift. Annalease got a real bad vibe off of this man for some reason. He was a very large built man with tattoos as arm sleeves. "Thank you sir, but I'm afraid that I either have not met you yet or I have forgotten your name" Annalease said meeting the mans gaze. "No, I apologize. I have just moved here from Spain. I have came to take my father's place as Alpha of the Rebel Blood Pack. I am Alpha Zane Smith. " He said introducing himself. "Wellvit is nice to meet you Alpha Zane. I hope your pack does not live up to it's name" Annalease said as she watched the man's actions. Mark, Jake and Cameron also picked up on Annalease's weary of the newcomer. "Not at all My Queen. They are very well trained and know the consequences for disobeying the laws." Aloha Zane said confidentiality. "Mom, will you please help me inside? I'm hurting a little" Timmy said getting Annalease's attention. "What happened to you Prince if I may ask" Alpha Zane asked curiously. "He had an ATV accident" Mark spoke up as he stood to help Annalease to her feet. "If you will excuse me Alpha Zane so I may take my son inside." Annalease said trying to be polite. "Do you not have Nannies on your staff to take care if the boy so you may enjoy your party" Alpha Zane rudely asked. Before Annalease could answer Jake and Cameron were by her side and warriors were beginning to circle around. Annalease quickly linked them to stay calm but observant. "I do have Nannies in my staff, however I chose to be a mother especially when my children are sick or hurt as that is what they ask. If my child ask me to do something I do it. Now like I said before if you will excuse me it is time for me to be a mother and not a queen." Annalease said aggrevated by this man. She looked at Mark and said "Dear, im taking him inside, if you andcthe children will kindly accept my gifts and apologize to my guest for my departure, I'm sure they all will understand. I will be back as soon as I get him feeling better" Annalease asked Mark emphasizing the fact of others understanding. Mark and the children nodded as they all stood for her leaving. Jake and Cameron along with AK and Axe escorted Annalease inside as Cameroon pushed Timmy.

"I didn't like that man mom. Something is weird about him. I'm sorry I lied to you about hurting. I wanted him to go away" Timmy said as they walked back to the palace. "It's ok Timmy. I knew you were lying. you never complain of pain" Annalease said smiling at him. "I'm with you Timmy, something does seem weird about him" Jake said agreeing. "AK, will you have your men to keep a watch over him from a distance. I don't want him to know or feel he is being watched. I'm going to ask Zia to run a detailed report on the man" Annalease said as they went inside. "It's already to done and us right here Annalease" Zia said handing her a stack of papers and giving AK the other stack. "And here is yours" She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. Annalease and AK sat down and flipped through the papers. Timmy needed to go check on Fidget, but Austin was still at the party. He had no other choice, but to tell his mom the dragon was upstairs. Before he could say a word though Zia came up behind him. "Hey Timmy,, while your mom reads over the report how about I help you upstairs so you can get freshened up for the cake" Zia said as she started to push him to the elevator that David and his team had installed. "I'll get him Zia" Annalease said standing putting the papers on the sofa. "No mom it's ok. Zia can take me" Timmy said quickly. Annalease didn't notice the nervousness in his voice and Timmy was glad as Zia started to push him into the elevator. As the door closed Zia said "consider this your one and only 'get out of jail free' card. The next time you hide a dragon in your room, lock the door so he can't get out. At least shut the door" Zia said. "oh no did anyone else see him?" Timmy asked. Zia shook her head no."I was changing for the party and went to get my gown on when I saw that the dragon had already tried to wear it and it was stuck on his head" Zia said laughing remembering the sight. "I'm sorry Zia, I guess he wanted to go to the. party too." Timmy said feeling. bad that Fidget ruined a gown if hers."I have a feeling it was a good thing that you hid him inside though especially with the hunter lurking. close by" Zia said as they went into Timmy's room.

Fidget was laying in the floor and looked to be pouting or upset. "What's wrong Fidget?" Timmy said linking him."I want my family back" Fidget answered."We will find them. my momma's teams already out looking for them. But a word of advise. Bots don't wear gowns and neither do dragons" Timmy linked him laughing. "Can you tell the woman I'm sorry I ripped her dress. I was trying to hide.i was hoping that if I wore the same as the others Boone would know I was a dragon " Fidget answered. Timmy had an idea. "Zia could you help me with something? I want to take Fidget up to Tornado and Kiarra. The pups are up there too and they can keep each other company and play" Timmy asked. "That is a much better idea than your room Timmy. Of course I will help. But if your mom finds out, I'm denying everything." Zia said smiling at Timmy. "Deal!" Timmy said thanking Zia for her help as they got Fidget upstairs.

"What do you think AK" Annalease asked after she finished the report Zia fixed for them. "On paper he is squeaky clean, but it does not say how his father died. He was fairly young for a wolf to die of natural causes I would think" AK answered. Annalease thought the same. "Maybe I'm being paranoid then with the hunter and the wolf that is helping him" Annalease said. "Can we go have some cake now Mom PLEASE?" Timmy asked as Zia brought him back down. "Sure why not. Let's go" Annalease said as they went back to the party. Everyone rose to their feet as Annalease made her way back to her table with Zia pushing Timmy. Annalease scanned the area for Alpha Zane. He was over by the DJ section talking to Cassie. It looked as if he was flirting with her. Annalease tapped Mark to look over at the two of them. Mark did not look happy about swing the two of them together like that. "That could be an issue" Mark said quietly. Annalease agreed. Witches were not like wolves. They do not have a fated mate with the bond pulling them together with someone. They were more human like in that sense which could a problem if Alpha Zane was tricking her so he could get in the palace.

Mary Beth and Milani stepped up to the microphone while Annalease was watching Cassie. "Can we have everyone's attention please" Mary Beth said. Everyone looked up and gave them their attention. "Please join us singing my mom and your Queen Happy Birthday as the cake is brought out" both girls said together. Everyone started singing happy birthday as Lorraine brought out the cake she had made for Annalease. Queen Annalease made her way to the stage with the girls. As they finished singing she blew out the candles, fireworks exploded in the sky above. The crowd cheered The girls, including Helena Grace and Catherine helped Lorraine pass out the cake after Annalease and Mark along with the boys got their cake and sat to eat. Guest stopped by to check to see if Timmy was feeling better, and to continue to wish Annalease a Happy Birthday. Cassie and Alpha Zane walked over to the Queen.

Cassie hugged Annalease and wished her a happy birthday giving her the gift she had gotten for her. "Thank you Cassie" Annalease said still eyeing the Alpha. "Alpha Zane says I'm his mate" Cassie whispered to Annalease excited. Annalease's heart s as nl for her. "Cassie and I need to run and grab something from the kitchen for Lorraine" Annalease said grabbing Cassie quickly to go with her. "Cassie, I know witches do not have the mate bond, but do you really think that you are his mate?" Annalease asked. Cassie looked at her funny. " Why would he say that if it were not true. He would know that once he claiimed me as his mate he would be stuck with me no matter what" Cassie asked defending him. "Cassie there is something not quite right here with him. I'm not the only one who thinks that " Annalease said easily. "Dont I deserve a mate too Ann as lease like we the rest of you? why cant I b be happy? If Zane says we are mates then I believe him!" Cassie said angrily. "Cassie, you do realize that you will have to leave the palace? Zane us an Alpha and has a pack. You will become a Luna. Do you have any idea what you are bargaining for? Can you please put a truth spell on him just to be certain?" Annalease asked. "No! That is forbidden because I would be using it against his will for my own good.Yoh know that,! I would lose my good witch title for good, or is that what your highness wants?" Cassie asked as tears fell down her face because she was so upset. "Cassie will you please at least wait for your mom to get back. she will be back in two days" Annalease begged. "No Queen Annalease, I will not. if Zane claims me as his, I will leave with him" Cassie said turning around to go back outside. "Cassie wait please" Annalease yelled to her but it was to late. Cassie was already out of the door and halfway to the courtyard. Annalease sat in a chair trying to figure out what to do now. She just hurt one of her best friends feelings by trying to protect everyone there. She needed Fiona back. Fiona would put the truth spell on him in a heartbeat Annalease thought.

Annabelle walked in the door. "Hey, are you ok? Mark sent me up here to check in you. We saw Cassie come back to the party but she ignored us and walked right over to that weird guy." Annabelle said. "I was just trying to warn her to be careful, but she is already talking about leaving with him tonight if he claims her as his mate." Annalease explained. "Well Jake and Cameron are ready to rip his throat out along with Mark as soon as you give them the go. It's something up with him. Everyone but her can feel it. Even all of the children" Annabelle informed her. "Even the rest of the guest are starting clear of him. That should tell her something" Annabelle added. "But that's not the case. She won't listen or even think of the possibility that he is lying to her" Annalease said. "And I don't know for certain that he is, I'm just going by my gut and it is screaming to get her away from him" Annalease added. "Well Annalease I hate to say it, but we can't make her stay if she is that set on being with him. Somethings we have to figure out for ourselves unfortunately. Now we have to dry your face because we still have guests here and it will not be good for the public to see you in a mess. It will show weakness" Annabelle said helping her to her feet. "What did you just say Annabelle?" Annalease asked quickly. "About drying your face?" Annabelle asked confused. "No about showing weakness?" Annalease said thinking. "Basically said that you cannot look to be a mess and crying because the public will view it as a weakness. Why is something wrong?" Annabelle asked still confused.

Annalease felt for her crown It was not straight. She pulled it off and looked at the gift from her father. "In my note from my dad he said to make sure I keep my head held high and my crown on straight my eyes open and my mind clear. Not to let anyone see me stumble because it would show weakness. I wonder if he was giving me a hint that something was going to happen. He used to tell me that when I was facing different problems but never in one of my gifts. " Annalease said fixing her makeup quickly and straightening her crown. Annabelle helped her pin it back in place. Annalease had an idea. She filled Annabelle in on the details. "Well let the show begin then shall we, My Queen" Annabelle said smiling.

Annalease quickly linked Cassie apologizing to her for her actions and the things she had said. Annalease told her she would be back to the party in just a few minutes and would give Alpha Zane another chance. Cassie quickly accepted the apology hating that she had hurt Annalease. Annabelle and Annalease walked back down to the courtyard and over to Mark and the guys to fill them in. They were going to kill him with kindness and then publicly announce that the Alpha had found his mate announcing Cassie as the Luna of the Rebel Pack.
