Anne was sitting outside, taking a break from...well, everything. She took a cigarette out her box and lit it, reminding herself she should stop smoking those.
It was getting late and most people had started leaving the office and she thought she might as well leave too and finish her work at home.
She saw Lizzie coming her way, closing the buttons of her coat.
"Bye, Anne. "
"No, Liz. Wait. "
She stood in front of her friend and said "I'm sorry, About yesterday."
"How long have we been friends for?"
"Ummm...years. And that's why I need to apologize to you. I was wrong to...."
"To what?"
"Taking it out on you. " Anne took a drag from her cigarette and offered one to her friend. Lizzie shook her head and Anne saw her trying to suppress a smile.
